By law, every school in Florida must have a School Advisory Council (SAC). This council consists of teachers, support personnel, parents, and community members. Fifty-one percent (51%) of the council must be composed of parents and/or com- munity members not employed by the school. This council, which meets monthly, assists in making recommendations on how our school operates. Our SAC exam- ines all aspects of our school when developing the school improvement plan, and participates in efforts to encourage support for the goals and activities of the school. We accepted parent nominations from 8/24/18-8/31/18, and voting by parents occurred from 9/4/18 through 9/11/18. I am happy to share with you that the majority of votes approved the following parent candidates to serve on our Council: Tiffany Bevel, Mindy Brigante, Basil Brown, CJ Burns, Joan Caracciolo, Kara Jones, Karla Smith, Patricia Needham, Steve Needham, Kevin Shropshire and DeLisa Webster School Public Accountability Report available to view The 2016/17 School Public Accountability Report is posted on the Atlantis Elementary School website https://www.brevardschools.org/AtlantisES .
