Learning Objectives: Given a soil type, the students will be able to distinguish which soil it is, with 100 percent accuracy. Content Standards:

0207.7.1 Sort, analyze, and compare a components of a variety of soil types. Accomplishment: Develop a knowledge of the different soil types and be able to distinguish between the different soil types.
Different Soil Types
• Sandy Soil: Dry and Gritty. Do not hold a lot of water and are not good for gardening. • Clay Soil: Holds a lot of water and
drain well• Loamy: Perfect mix of sandy and
clay. Great for growing plants!
