Screening with RadiationScreening with Radiation
Radiation Research Society 2004:“The Neoplastic
Transformation Potential of Mammography X Rays”
“This study suggests that the risks associated with mammography screening may be approximately 5 times higher than previously assumed and that the risk-benefit relationship may need to be re-
examined.”
This means that the risk of accumulative double strand DNA damage (the ultimate cause of cancer) is increased by 5% with each mammogram exposure.
The researchers who completed this study in 2004 recommended re-examination of this risk to millions of healthy women each year.

Iodine Deficiency
How is Iodine Used in the Body? How is Iodine Used in the Body?
Every cell in the body contains and utilizes iodine
Thyroid contains a higher concentration of iodine than any other organ
In an iodine deficient state the thyroid gland and the breasts will compete for what little iodine is available
Some Iodine FactsSome Iodine Facts
Iodine consumption by Americans has dropped 50% since the 1970s as breast cancer rates have risen. In the US Goiter Belt, where iodine in the soil is lower, breast cancer is higher.
By contrast, the incidence and severity of breast cancer are less in Japan than in Europe and the US, attributable to the diet. Japanese women consume 25 times (13 mg) more dietary iodine than North American women and have lower breast cancer rates.
Some Iodine FactsSome Iodine Facts
Meanwhile, since the 1970s, in the US and several other countries, iodine-blocking bromides have been added to flour, some sodas, and medications, exacerbating the iodine deficiency.
Flouridated drinking water also depletes iodine absorption.
As women consume less iodine and excrete more due to toxic elements, our risk for breast cancer grows.
Iodine Deficiency Facts
Estrogen balance is impossible to maintain when there is iodine deficiency present.
Iodine deficiency has been shown to produce specific changes in breast tissue in rats
Iodine deficiency causes estrogen production to increase
Iodine deficiency causes increased sensitivity of breast tissue to estrogen
What Can I do if I have What Can I do if I have Fibrocystic Breasts?Fibrocystic Breasts?
Research in animals has shown that the correction of iodine deficiency results in abnormal breast tissue changing back to normal breast tissue
