BRAX GOLF JOURNAL SPRING/SUMMER 2016

The Dunhill Championship, the World Team Cup, Alstom Open de France, the Trophee Hassan II and last - but by no means least - the BMW Masters,

Shanghai. Anyone who wants to win these tournaments must keep looking good on the green. Marcel Siem manages this, and not just professionally.

The professional golfer sets himself the highest standards and applies the same to his outfits. He has been a BRAX GOLF Ambassador for three years now and also provides important input developing collections. As one of the world’s

top golfers, he knows what really matters: performance on the golf course.

The new collection adds a new swing to timeless style - without any detriment to functionality. The innovative use of

materials also guarantees maximum comfort in the clubhouse. After all , golf is not just a sport. It‘s a l ifestyle.

CRUISE COOL

A game full of contrasts – both on the course and in fashion. Vivid patterns meet smooth finishes. Sophisticated nuances are achieved by

the harmonious balance of l ight and dark. The wealth of colours is reminiscent of the French Riviera. Ease your way on to the green. Warm red is the antithesis of

masculine blue, with grey melange and crisp white. Time to set your cruise control to your current colour combination.

A GAME OF CONTRASTS

«Change it up on the golf course with shirts in intensive colours such as red or azure blue.

Combine with cool, white trousers and you‘re ready to tee off.»

NEO MOVES

Neon is back. Bright, but not too loud. Classic black and white are combined with shades of grey. Dynamic neon yellow applies

individual accents. Vivid patterns and finishes. Lightweight but high tech - optimal comfort and perfect fit. An easy to wear yet elegant

collection that stands out for all the right reasons.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

«I love how elegant grey has been subtly freshened up with neon yellow

and combined with the perfect fit. My current favourite look.»

MARCEL SIEM

We are here today at Eichenried Golf Club – what is your deep personal connection to this course and this place?

«I lived here as a child and went to school here for three years. I know the butcher, the baker, I know just about everyone! (laughs) I grew up on this course, my parents ran the associated restaurant.

Therefore it‘s always been somewhat special to come here.»

You can now look back on five years of working with BRAX GOLF, full of technical solutions and fashion trends.

What do you value the most?

«The informal atmosphere of this collaboration. It gives me terrific satisfaction to be able to introduce my own ideas into the collection.

BRAX GOLF also has that certain something. It‘s very important for me to have my own style and not look exactly l ike the next man when

I turn up at tournaments.»

How would you describe your style off the golf course?

«In the past I was often seen in skater boy outfits with lots of baggy clothes. I have somewhat distanced myself from that! To be specific

However I would like to point out that I do not and never have worn ankle skimmers! Relaxed and elegant trousers though, sure.

I l ike well-fitting jeans, with a shirt and a casual blazer.»

What are your aims for the future?

«Professionally I want to get into the Top 30 of the Official World Golf Rankings and I‘m aiming for the European Top 10. It‘s naturally also a big

dream of mine to win a major tournament. And last but not least, I want to also lift the trophy at the BMW Open here in Eichenried at some point.»

You are a role model for many ambitious amateur golfers. What tips can you give to new talent?

«In the meantime I have noticed that proper fitness levels are absolutely vital. Visiting the gym is mandatory. In addition it is also

very important to always keep having fun when training. I always need this adrenalin kick on the course, a goal to be achieved.

For example you can go to the driving range and try to hit the ball into a bucket at 30 metres. It‘s not easy, but when you do it,

you gain the motivation to keep going.»

A game full of contrasts – both on the course and in fashion. Vivid patterns meet smooth finishes. Sophisticated nuances are achieved

by the harmonious balance of l ight and dark. The wealth of colours is reminiscent of the French Riviera. Ease your way on to the green. Mediterranean turquoise

and hot pink meet at the marina with white providing a peaceful haven. Set your cruise control at a refreshing golf look with an elegant swing.

A GAME OF CONTRASTS

«No one will dare to be seen without pink and turquoise this summer.

Ostentatious colours bring a Mediterranean flair to the green. My spirits are

raised automatically!»

TENDERNESS

A warm summer‘s breeze, scenic views and romantic sunsets. At night the golf course becomes a poetic place of calm.

And an inspiration for fashion. Gentle pastels in shades of rose, vanilla and pink capture the mellow magic, framed by elegant

beige tones and pristine white. Relaxedly feminine.

ELEGANT PASTELS

«This is the summer look for me. Gentle pastel shades flatter every

curve. The Monou trousers are one of my favourite pieces.»
