LOGO
PONY CLUB BRAND GUIDELINES 3
PRIMARY LOGO
The primary identity of the Pony Club is our ‘lock up’ logo which comprises both the word and round graphic elements.
The primary colourway for this is blue over white.
This version and colourway of the logo can be used on everyday communications such as letters and invoices. For the rules of how to keep the usage consistent please see pages 10-14.
LOGO
PONY CLUB BRAND GUIDELINES 4
PRIMARY LOGO:NEGATIVE
This version of the logo can be used when the original is unreadable, for example over an image.
LOGO
PONY CLUB BRAND GUIDELINES 5
PRIMARY LOGO:MONOTONE
Where a ‘single colour’ printing process is used, for example a black and white show schedule, the logo should be printed in black.

SECONDARY LOGO
This is our secondary logo lock up.
This version of the logo can be used as an alternative to the primary logo, for example, where a Branch or Centre name would fit more effectively in the space created underneath the word Pony Club.
All the rules that apply to the primary logo, also apply to the secondary logo – see pages 9-13.

THE ROUNDEL ELEMENT OF THE LOGO
The Pony Club roundel is a graphic element used within the logo. In certain circumstances it may be used on its own, including:
• Garments that are a small size, where the full lock up cannot be produced large enough to be legible.
• Items and documents that do not allow enough space for the full lock up to be used (the roundel must still be produced to the minimum specified size, see page 13)
• Rosette central discs (a specific version of the roundel is available for rosettes - see page 22)

PRIMARY TYPEFACE
The Pony Club font is Montserrat – a free font available to download (see link below)
Montserrat has a family of fonts with different weights (see opposite) that can be used to denote key information, give presence and divide sections.
All external communications should be designed using Montserrat to show that they are a part of the national identity.

The logo can be used with either a strapline, such as ‘We are Pony Club’, a Branch or Centre name.
These should be set in Arvo Regular (see page 10).
All type on merchandise should be set in Montserrat Black (see page 9), and the size of type will be at the designer’s discretion but should balance with the logo.

LOGO EXCLUSION ZONE
To preserve the logo’s integrity, we must always maintain a minimum clear space around the logo.
This clear space isolates the logo from competing graphic elements such as other logos, copy, photography or background patterns that may divert attention.
The minimum exclusion zone around the logo should be the size of one ‘O’ from the word ‘PONY’.
This rule should be applied to both the primary and secondary version of the logo.
RULES
PONY CLUB BRAND GUIDELINES 13
MINIMUM SIZING
To ensure that the logo is always legible the minimum size has been set for print use at 50mm wide.
The same rules should be followed when using either the primary or secondary version of the logo, as well as when a strapline, Branch or Centre name is used.

SECONDARY COLOUR PALETTE
The secondary palette should be used to bring more vibrancy and fun to communications, documents and garments. It is designed to extend the choice.
The secondary colour palette does not mean that garments etc have to be produced in these colours, and where Branches and Centres have their own colourways this is still acceptable.
