It’s ALL about the cowsLot 18-Selling Choice of Bradley 3 Ranch Donor Candidates

This year we are excited to offer the choice of a select group of Bradley 3 Ranch bred cows. These seventeen cows have been selected as po-tential donor candidates in our operation and we believe any of these females can provide unprecedented genetic opportunities for a new owner.

The cows in this offering have been identified because of their annual production. All of them are trending toward hitting the targets of being qualified as Bradley 3 Ranch donor. We believe we have one of the strictest donor selection criteria and the Angus breed and maybe in the purebred industry.

Contact us to learn more about our donor criteria and for details of Lot 18. More pictures and details can be viewed in our sale catalog at www.bradley3ranch.com.

THE BULLS...Herdsires. Our bulls

walk our pastures just as our customers’ bulls do. Yes, we do AI our first calf heifers, but even our AI sires are expected to hold up to the expecta-tions of pasture breed-ing. Our herdsires are not pampered and longevity, soundness, fleshing ability and fertility are demand-ed. Unlike many breeders who use an AI sire without ever know-ing if he will withstand the challenges of pasture breeding, we believe it is vital to know that our bulls will stand up to the chal-lenge. We use our bulls just as you do in your operation!

We don’t chase trends. For several years the mantra in the Angus breed was to chase $B, then it was huge growth spreads and big milk numbers. We choose to not chase trends and the “bull of the month” club. Instead, our 59 years in the registered cattle business has taught us to focus on op-timum performance that can keep our customers in business. Yes, we do utilize outliers to move our herd forward, but it is always with care to keep all traits in balance.

Performance that is bred on, not fed on. We measure performance in our large contemporary groups but bulls are not fed in excess. A big gaining, high performance bull at Bradley 3 Ranch means that he does so because of a ge-netic advantage, not because he is a well fed bull.

Gain on grass. More gain on grass means more money in your pocket when feeder calves wean heavier with less inputs. Also, we are working to identify bulls that excel on grass be-cause we have learned their daughters can withstand a limited input program.

Bull Development. In our development program, we be-

gin with the end in mind....this means our ultimate goal is to have the bulls range ready, sound footed and pre-pared to go to work for you.

After weaning, our bulls start a “grass gain test”. This allows us to identify those bulls who have the ability to gain on grass with mini-mal supplementation. Then the bulls progress to a short “feed gain test”.

It is our intention to identify optimum gains, not neces-sarily maximum gains. Our intention is not to have a “feedlot fat” bull at the end of our gain test. Instead, we hope to have allowed the bulls to express their genetic potential without pushing so much energy through them that feet or hock prob-lems result.

THE RESULT IS...A Herd with History. We are here for the long haul. You

can expect survivability, adaptability, durability, longterm soundness, calving ease, performance and muscle.

Demanded Genetics. Our bulls are at work in herds from Florida to Oregon. This means our cattle have the ability to adapt, perform and survive in a wide range of environments. We know our genetics can grow hair and survive the altitude at Walden, CO. We know our bulls can slick off and thrive on fescue in Missouri. We know our bulls can survive the insects and humidity in Florida.

Daughters To Retain And Market. Our bulls have found success as they have sired long lasting commercial females in herds across the country and been utilized in large-scale com-mercial AI projects. Take advantage of the opportunity here!

Value. Our success is measured by our customers’ success.
