1. ABOUT INSTITUTE
Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, was
started in the year 2006 with vision to provide an education in the
vicinity of Charutar region, by Sanskruti Sanraksha Charitable. The
institute imparts quality Pharmacy education at Graduate, Post
graduate and Doctorate level with approved courses by AICTE, PCI
& GTU like B. Pharm, M. Pharm and Pharm D, (Doctor in Pharmacy),
respectively. We have well-equipped laboratories and excellent
infrastructure and have adopted modern teaching techniques.
The institute houses state of art research facility and infrastructure
to support pharmaceutical Education and Research. The institute
focuses on value added education, development of skill of students
in addition to development of ethics and character. Approximately 8
batches of B.Pharm has been passed out and student have been
place in reputed industries or Institution. Few student have gone
abroad for further studies and have achieved excellence in their
field.

of India (PCI), New Delhi and Affiliated to the Gujarat Technological

2. VISION- MISSION
VISION
Our aim is to become center of excellence in pharmacy education and
research, to provide world class professionals and to serve humanity at large
by producing competent and ethical pharmacist.
MISSION
Mission of college is to provide a comprehensive and progressive education
that prepares pharmacists for providing skilled, ethical& compassionate
patient care that improves their quality of life in rural and urban area. The
college achieves its mission by maintaining a community of active and creative
scholars devoted to discovery, integration and dissemination of knowledge in
clinical and pharmaceutical sciences.
Shri Indukaka was man of utmost love and
sacrifice of charotar had lived such a life that he
made Dharmaj well known. Indukaka was first
to become a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
from reputed L.M. College of Pharmacy
Ahmedabad in Dharmaj Village and Kheda
District. He become synonymously attached
with the term “ipco” his invention. He became
bhamashah in true sense by over flowing
oodles of money in various field of education
health, upliftment of women, research, student
scholarship etc. Our Pharmacy College and
Engineering College also have received fund on
his name.

other streams of study, Engineering,
Pharmacy studies need a different setting for effective
learning. Experimental infrastructures of course complemented
with excellent academic faculty are crucial factor for emerging fields
of Engineering. By providing researched teaching, facilitating in
depth learning through real time laboratory workshop experience,
providing access to the best of knowledge resource through high
speed internet and vast library, enabling changing projects and by
out-sourcing eminent industry faculty, Sanskruti Sanraksha
Charitable Trust is set to achieve its goals.

Shri Devangbhai Patel (IPCOWALA) as a
Trustee has always provided his constructive
suggestions, financial lookout and motivation
for excellence in education. Shri Devangbhai
Patel an Industrialist, philanthropist and
syndicate member, Sardar Patel University is
renowned personality of Charutar region. He
is donor of shri Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy and research
Centre, Dharmaj. Late Shri Indukaka was first Pharmacist from
Dharmaj who has completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy from reputed
L M College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad.
Shri Chandrakant R Patel is managing
trustee. He looks after routine work of the
institute and solves all routine problems
related to the Institutes. He is self-disciplined,
motivator and decision maker.

4. Message from Principal
Today Pharmacy profession is not confined
to industry alone. It has expanded
immensely and there are a lot of
opportunities in Clinical Research,
Nanotechnology, Drug Discovery,
Phytochemistry and so on. Pharmacy
discipline has grown tremendously and
recent advances in technology have
created plenty of job and research
opportunities. Recent innovations have
revolutioned the process of drug discovery
and development. Today Pharmacy
profession is not confined to industry
alone. It has expanded immensely and there are a lot of opportunities in
Clinical Research, Nanotechnology, Drug Discovery, Phytochemistry and so on.
Pharmacy discipline has grown tremendously and recent advances in
technology have created plenty of job and research opportunities. Recent
innovations have revolutioned the process of drug discovery and
development.
The Institute of Pharmacy, Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy and Research
Centre, Dharmaj is student-centric and ready to face the global challenges of
the Pharmacy profession. B. Pharm., M. Pharm. and Pharm D. curriculum is
designed in that direction by intellectuals.
To make the students competitive and on par with their international
counterparts we have well-equipped laboratories and excellent infrastructure.
Our faculty members who are backbone and strength of the institute are well-
qualified and experienced and have adopted modern teaching techniques like
LCD, OHP and Visual audio system. We have received Rs. 17, 20 ,000 from
AICTE as an Research grant.
It is our proud that we were first for two times in GTU external exams
amongst all 84 colleges of B. Pharm in Gujarat. Not only that in M. Pharm we
have achieved 100% result and were first.

5. International Conference
5th International Conference on “Modern Trends in
Pharmaceutical Education and Research”
An international conference was organized by Indubhai Patel
College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, in association with
Association of Pharmacy Professionals Gujarat Branch in
collaboration with APP West Indies International Branch on 10th
December 2017.
The conference was a grand success with more than 350 delegates
from Gujarat and nearby states participated in the conference.
Renowned personalities from India and Abroad, like Dr Pradeep K
Sahu, Dr Alka Agarwal and Dr Gunjan Jadon highlighted on recent
trends in pharmaceutical education and research.
Total 75 posters on the above topic were invited for presentation
and best three posters were awarded in their respective categories.
Dr. Mayank Bapna was coordinator of this conference.

The conference was inaugurated by Shri Devang Patel, Industrialist
and Philanthropist, Shri Jitendra Patel, Shri Chandarakant Patel, Dr
B N Suhagia and Dr C N Patel.
With the commencement of the guest talk by Shri Devang Patel, the
conference was enlightened by guest lecture from our international
and national guest speakers.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Secretary, APP West Indies International
Branch, Centre for Medical Sciences Education (CMSE), Faculty of
Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies St. Augustine,
Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies.
Dr. Alka Agrawal, National Head, APP Drug Design & MedChem
Division, Principal, U. S. Ostwal Institute of Pharmacy, Mangalwad,
Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India have delivered their expert lecture.
Apart from awards to delegates three special awards were given
viz., Dr B.N. Suhagia as Best Researcher, Dr C. N. Patel as Best
Teacher and Miss Hiteshi Chadha as Best Student of the Year, for the
individual excellence shown in their respective fields.
The programme was concluded with cultural event by students of
IPCPRC followed by valedictory function.

6. GUJCOST-DST Sponsored Two Days National Conference on
“Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting and Monitoring is Prime
Need in INDIA”
DST – GUJCOST sponsored two days national conference on “Adverse Drug
Reaction Reporting and Monitoring is Prime Need in INDIA” organized at
Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy & Research Centre, Dharmaj of the dated
5th & 6th January 2019. This conference was organized by Dr. Upama Trivedi
as a Coordinator under the guidance of Dr. Nehal Shah, Principal of host
institute. On 5th Jan 2019, Inaugural function of the conference began with the
Indian tradition culture with the lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest, Shri Dr.
Navinbhai Sheth, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University, Guest of
Honor Dr (Mrs). Vandana Patel, Principal of Babaria Institute of Pharmacy,
Baroda, Shri Jitendra Patel, Founder President and Chairman of Sanskruti

Sanraksha Charitable Trust, Shri Devangbhai Patel (IPCOWALA Parivar),
Industrialist and Philanthropist and Syndicate member of Sardar Patel
University and Shri Chandrakant Patel, Managing Trustee Sanskruti Sanraksha

At the outset of Inaugural function, Dr. Nehal Shah introduced the dignitaries
on the dais and Shri Chandrakantbhai Patel welcomed the guest with holy
plant of Tulsi. Dr. Upama Trivedi, gave a briefly introduced about the
conference.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Navin Sheth gave some clues and legal aspects in
his key note address and stressed upon redefining role of pharmacist and
urged to boldly accept these challenges ahead for strengthening their own
status in transparent manner.... He congratulated to the organizers of the host
institute for providing such platform and opportunity & exploring further new
level of thinking and understanding related to theme of the conference, as
one of the first institute amongst 85 pharmacy institutes affiliated to Gujarat
Technological University.
Dr. Vandana Patel blessed the participants and congratulated the organizers
of the conference for putting in sincere efforts to increase awareness of
responsibilities of pharmacist as an integral part of health care system,
specifically in relation to reporting the adverse drug reaction. The inaugural
function concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Akshay Shah,
Associate Professor of Host Institute.

7. National Pharmacy Week
Theme was “THE ROLE of Pharmacist : Health Awareness”
National Pharmacy week organized by Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy &
Research Centre, Dharmaj & Sponsored by Gujarat State Pharmacy Council,
Gujarat National Pharmacy week was inaugurated on 18th December-2017,in
presence of Dr. Lalji Baldaniya, Professor, Anand Pharmacy College Principal
& Staff of Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy, Dharmaj. Dr. Lalji Baldaniya has
delivered on role of Pharmacist in health care system. He has talked on
various responsibilities of Pharmacist in health care system. Function was
ended by delivering vote of thanks by Dr.Mayank Bapna, Associate Professor,
IPCPRC. On the 2nd day, 19/12/2017 a rally was organized at Dharmaj. The
rally has emphasised on the epidemic disesase like Dengue, Chickenguniya,
Swine flu and its prevention. Shri Jitendra Patel and Shri Chandrakant Patel
has given green signal to the rally.

The rally was started at 10:00 AM from Tower area in Dharmaj and circulated
in the whole village. At end of the rally the students have been provided with
juice. “Swach Bharat Abhiyan” was organized on 20/12/17 at college campus.
Students of Pharm D, B Pharm have participated and have cleaned campus
and temple area. Staff and students have taken oath to keep clean surrounding
campus, society, working area etc.
Blood donation camp was held on 21/12/17 under banner of NPW, sponsored
by GSPC, Gujarat. Students, staff of pharmacy, physio and Engineering college
have donated blood. Indian Red Cross Society was asked to collect the blood.
Total 20 bottles were collected. Awareness & promotion of Generic medicines
was held on 22/12/2017, Friday at the nearby village Dharmaj. Students have
understand importance of blood donation.
A kiosk of Generic medicine was arranged at the Dharmaj village &
approximate 100 participants have participated. A drama was played by

students of Indubhai Patel College of Pharmacy to promote the use of Generic
medicine in society. On the 6th day of NPW i.e. 23/12/2017 intra college Quiz
competition was organized to improve the skill set of students. The students
of 3rd, 5th & 7th sem. B.Pharm. have participated in this event. At the end the
winner of the quiz competition was awarded. The NPW was concluded by
organizing the valedictory function on the 26/12/2017. The chief guest of the
function was Dr. R.K. Sinha, Principal, S G Patel Institute of Physiotherapy,
Dharmaj. He has emphasised the role of pharmacist as an equal partner of
health care system.

The Purpose of world pharmacists day is to encourage activities that promote
and advocate for the role of the
pharmacist in improving health in every
corner of the world. Each year the
IPCPRC, Dharmaj welcomes a new
theme to showcase the pharmacist in
their positive effect on health. IPCPRC
celebrated world pharmacist day on
25th September.
The Purpose of world pharmacists day
is to encourage activities that promote
and advocate for the role of the
pharmacist in improving health in every
corner of the world. Each year the IPCPRC, Dharmaj welcomes a new theme to
showcase the pharmacist in their positive effect on health. IPCPRC celebrated
world pharmacist day on 25th September.

8. Refresher Course
Two Day Refresher Course (February 3rd and 4th -2018) was organized at
Indubhai Patel College Of Pharmacy & Research Centre, Dharmaj was
sponsored by Gujarat State Pharmacy Council, Ahmedabad. Programmme was
inaugurated by Dr. Samir Shah (Principal, Sardar Patel College of Pharmacy,
Bakrol),
Trustee Shri Chandrakant R Patel, Principal of the college Dr Nehal Shah and
Associate Professor Dr. Upma Trivedi. Eminent speakers have delivered
lectures during Refresher course. Almost 76 delegates have registered for the
course. Function was validated in presence of Naitik Trivedi. Vote of thanks
was delivered by Dr. Nehal Shah. Chairman Shri Jitendra R Patel and Trustee
shri Devangbhai Patel (Industrialist, Philanthropist) have conveyed their best
regards to the function.

8.1 Refresher Course

Programmme was inaugurated by Ms. Khusi Pathak (DIC, member), Ms. Dipali
Sawaliya, Trustee Shri Chandrakant R Patel, Principal of the college Dr Nehal
Shah and Course Cordinator Ms Sneha Vaghela. Eminent speakers Like Dr.
Sanjay, Dr. Vijay, Ar. Akshay, Dr. Upma and Dr. Manis have delivered lectures
during Refresher course. Dr. Naitik Trivedi has given presence. Almost 76
delegates have registered for the course. Function was validated by vote of
thanks by Dr. Akshay H Shah.

9. Pharma Ramzat 2018

Navaratri is known as a festival for worship to the deities. In Gujarat major
communities were expressed their worship to the different deities by playing
garba in navratri. College is always organizing this type of function for the
overall development of students.
The navratri function started with lighting of lamps followed by aarti of IPCPRC. Students
of BPharm, M.Pharm, AND Pharm.D have actively participated in the event. Garba was
started from 10:00 am and end up at 01:30 pm. Lunch facility to the all student provided by
the college management. In afternoon session students appreciated with the prize
distribution. Best dress and Best Garba Dancer award distributed among the participated
students.

10. PICNIC VISIT
A picinic for Final Year B. Pharm Students was arranged at Jambughoda where students
and staff were relaxed and also have herbal plant studies. Jambughoda is a city and a Tehsil
in Panchmahal district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The Tehsil is well known for the
Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary. Students have also visited jirvani water fall near to the
place.
