This six week study led by Jim Starnes will provide a deep, personal experience into the Book of Psalms. We will explore Psalms of prayer, Psalms of praise, Psalms of lament, and Psalms of thanksgiving. Each week’s assignments will include reading and contemplating 6-7 Psalms. On Wednesday evenings from 6-7 PM, there will be an informal discussion session to delve deeper into the readings and attempt to make them relevant in today’s world.
The study is based on the book Experiencing the Psalms by Dr. Ralph Wilson. There is no need to purchase a book - handouts will be provided at the beginning to guide participants through each week’s readings. Please register by calling the office or Jim Starnes (205-601-8614) or emailing Jim at [email protected]. A short introduction will take place on June 7, 2017 at 6:00 and handouts will be distributed. The weekly sessions will be on June 14, 21 28, July 9, 16 and 23. This will be a fun and rewarding way to grow in your faith this summer.

As Christians, we’re designed to be connected to God at all times--to be “plugged in” to the source. In this five-week, DVD-based small group curriculum, Doug Fields takes on the
challenge of getting students interested and excited about staying connected
to God.

“There is so much pressure in the world today, and so the idea of dreaming big, it feels like just one

built in being with him.” —Jennie Allen (narrator of the study)
