We will explore Psalms of prayer, Psalms of praise, Psalms of lament, and Psalms of thanksgiving. Each weeks assignments will include reading and contemplang 6-7 Psalms. On Wednesday evenings from 6-7 PM, there will be an informal discussion session to delve deeper into the readings and aempt to make them relevant in todays world. The study is based on the book Experiencing the Psalms by Dr. Ralph Wilson. There is no need to purchase a book - handouts will be provided at the beginning to guide parcipants through each weeks readings. Please register by calling the office or Jim Starnes (205-601-8614) or emailing Jim at [email protected]. A short introducon will take place on June 7, 2017 at 6:00 and handouts will be distributed. The weekly sessions will be on June 14, 21 28, July 9, 16 and 23. This will be a fun and rewarding way to grow in your faith this summer.
