What is a Veteran?

For the Bountiful Veterans Park, a “Veteran” is a person who writes a blank check made payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including their life.

This includes all service in the U.S. Armed Forces whether on active duty, in the Reserves or in the National Guard. We also recognize service in the Merchant Marine.

• The land for the Park has been donated by the City of Bountiful.

• Funding for the construction of the park will be by private donations of cash and in-kind services.

• No taxpayer funds requested or accepted. – Veterans do not want to force anyone to recognize

Military Families

• Military families know what it means to serve. They know the risks, but they accept this life of service anyway. They are the backbone of our military.

• Every day, they get up and support their service member, standing by them during long trainings and deployments. They are the quiet, but steady fuel at home that keeps the fire burning.

• And when their time serving as a military family comes to an end, they support their veterans for the rest of their lives.
