Our treatment philosophy includes treating you with dignity and respect, and we believe that you have the ability to grow when given support, education and direction.

We also believe that each person is different, and our goal is to help you find your own path to recovery.

Who can be referred

Generally, we accept referrals from the client him or herself, hospitals, shelters, other agencies, families, or anybody who would like to get a patient or loved one into treatment.

The Intake Process

We do an initial intake by phone or in person. This pre-screening is focused on medical criteria for detoxification and your current medical conditions. If you meet the basic criteria, and you if have a serious medical or psychiatric condition, we may also need to do a medical evaluation. If you are on certain medications, we may also require a list of them.

At the Boston Treatment Center we understand substance use, dependence, or addiction as a problem that has many causes that include genetic, biological, psychological and social reasons. We also believe that the reason people struggle with substance use must be addressed in treatment if they are going to get better. These reasons are unique and different for each person.

We serve residents from all over Massachusetts, with the majority of our clients coming from the immediate surrounding communities of metro Boston. We feel privileged to serve a multicultural population, and many of our staff are bilingual.

We accept most insurances, including Medicaid. We try to remain competitive in pricing. When necessary, we make every effort to help you pay for your treatment.

Our fee structure is available to all patients, and we use monies received from other sources for clients who qualify due to financial need. Upon request, there is a sliding fee scale available at the time of admission.
