Welcome to the 3nd Annual Lymphedema Patient Symposium hosted by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School

Welcome to our 3rd Annual BIDMC/Harvard Medical School Lymphedema Symposium for patients. Our focus this year is “It's All about YOU!”.

In 2017 and 2018, we hosted a joint Patient and Clinical Symposium with the objective of providing the audience with the utmost in the state of the art of lymphedema research and clinical care from a global perspective.

As was announced in 2018, BIDMC/Harvard Medical School will continue to host a Patient Symposium every year and a combined Clinical and Patient symposium on even years (e.g. 2020, 2022 …). Today’s agenda will target patient specific needs as it relates to lymphedema. Based on feedback from last year, today’s event will feature speakers who are experts in lymphedema and who are local to the New England area and readily available to you.

Today’s agenda is focused on specific medical challenges relating to not only physical limitations but emotional stress, cellulitis, diet, and surgical options that are available for patients in the New England area. A significant portion of the program will provide an opportunity for YOU, the patient, to speak with clinical experts who specialize in your particular lymphedema challenge in small group sessions.

We promise, this unique, patient focused event will provide numerous answers and hope to address your day to day challenge with lymphedema and other lymphatic disorders.
