Principal’s Report
Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent Teacher Interviews are coming up on
Wednesday, 27th March and I would like to
encourage all parents to take this opportunity to
talk to teachers and discuss student progress.
These meetings are important as this is one way
for parents/guardians to get a clear picture of what
is taught in each class, how work is assessed, what
is coming up in the next term and how we can all
work together to make sure our students are happy
and engaged with school. Booking information
will sent home early next week along with Interim
reports.
Xuno information sessions will run on this day for
any families wanting to discuss this system of
communication.
School Council Representatives
Ballots/Voting is still open for the last parent-
member category position of School Council. This
closes on Friday at 4pm. Please place ballot paper
in the box at the General Office. Ballot papers
were emailed to all families last Friday.
Triathlon
Well done to all our competitors in the triathlon
last Thursday. Thanks must go to Brooke Chamberlain and Adrian Grogan and their team of
helpers who put hours into organising and setting up this event. There were just over 200
competitors across many schools in our network. Special mentions to Kaitlyn Cockerell and Ella
Lanyon who were our best individual performers and the Junior Male, Junior Female and Senior
Male teams for their fantastic performances.

How to view your child’s timetable in Xuno
1. Click on the Learning menu and then click on the Timetable item. If you're using a mobile device,
you'll need to tap on the menu icon in the top right first, before you can tap on the Learning menu.
2. Parents can select a specific child by clicking on the button labelled with their child's name. If you are
logged in as a student, you will only be able to view your own attendance.
3. If you are using a mobile device your timetable for today is automatically displayed. On larger devices,
your entire timetable for the current week is shown. The timetable information is always live and up-to-
date, and will alert you to any room changes or cancellations.
4. On mobile devices you can use the forward and back navigation arrows at the top of the timetable to
navigate through each day of your weekly timetable.
5. To view your timetable in other weeks, change your date range by clicking the date picker in the top
right of the screen, select your new date range, then click on the Update button.
6. Click on the Print icon in the top header bar to print your entire weekly timetable. The print icon is not
available on mobiles and devices using small screens.
How your timetable appears on different devices.
The timetable will appear differently depending on the size of your device. If you're on a mobile device,
you'll see your timetable for today, and then day-by-day. On larger devices, such as laptops or iPad's (in
landscape view), you'll be able to see the whole week.

there are some budding magicians among us!

North Central District Reverse Triathlon
Last Thursday, Boort hosted the NCD Triathlon with two hundred competitors from different schools in the
district competing. Boort had forty-four students compete, eight individual competitors and twelve teams of
three entered. It was great to see the support of all students cheering and socialising with students from
other schools. Overall, our students were very competitive.
A big thank you to Greg Boyd, Brad Haw, Marj Potter, Belinda and Mark Perryman and Nikki Barraclough
who gave up their time helping to be a marshal or photographer on the day. A special thank you to David
Rees who once again gave up his time to be the lead motorbike ensuring safety on the course and keeping
track of our leader in each event. Thank you to all the students who offered assistance on the day to ensure
the day ran successfully, especially the Gateways class who put up signage and swept the bike course of
hazards and VET students Austin and Jonti for assisting with packing up. It takes many hours of
organisation in the lead up to the event. Thank you also to Steve from the Loddon Shire, Dee Smith and her
lifeguards for coordinating the swim leg at the pool, Hayden Rowley, Hannah Hogan, Tom Bleicher and
Adrian Grogan for the hours of work undertaken on the day. It was great to see parents and grandparents
supporting our students. This is a great event hosted in Boort and the feedback received has been very
positive.
Results on the day. Well done to all competitors on the day.

SRC Leadership Day
Last Friday, the SRC members from Years 7 to 10 went to Pyramid Hill to participate in a Leadership
training afternoon. Shane Green ran workshops during the day. Together with the Pyramid Hill
Representatives, we expanded our knowledge of public speaking and learnt how to become a better leader.
Shane ran us through a range of activates each focusing on different aspects of being a leader. Some of these
were working as a team to create a capsule to prevent an egg from breaking, getting out of a human knot and
the helium pole. Through the course of the day, it was obvious that each of us had developed and improved
our ability to communicate clearly through the use of tone, body language and words. I think we all took
away something valuable from this workshop and will soon put this into action.
