Summary of Speech : Schadenfreude and Glücksschmerz: Psychological Symptoms, Setting and Impacts

Prof. Dr. Achmad Syahid & Muhammad Khalid Akbar

xvii

Abstract The article elaborates on both the concept of schadenfreude

and glücksschmerz. Two term in psychology originally from Germany mean a pleasure at another’s persons or groups misfortune” and “hard or pain at another’s persons or groups good fortune”. As Indonesian, our ears are very familiar with proverbs: “senang, kalau orang lain susah” and also “susah, kalau orang lain senang”.

Both schadenfreude and glücksschmerz are the dark side of humans that are triggered by three things. First, both are caused by a relationship based on sentiment, driven in part by feelings of dislike. The second is related to concern for justice, for example, proper misfortune is pleasant and improper luck is unpleasant. Third, it involves assessing the good or bad luck of others because it creates an advantage or loss for oneself or in a group. Both expressions of emotion arise especially in competitive situations, where envy, pleasant gains and unpleasant losses arise. In addition, these two emotional expressions have important implications for understanding human relationships at both the individual and group level in the social, cultural, economic, educational, sports, and political life settings, especially in an era with a digital environment.

Both schadenfreude and glücksschmerz classify the phenomenon as Tall Poppy Syndrome; a cultural phenomenon in Australia and New Zealand - which is indeed a nicknaming for everything - in which the motives, values and attitudes of the Australian and New Zealand leaders influence their CEMS: commitment, effectiveness, motivation and satisfaction of American entrepreneurs. Since the CoronaVirus 19 outbreak around the world we have not only felt that both schadenfreude and glücksschmerz are breaking out, but we also feel that there are no barriers to expressing them.

Abstract

If the diversity of a community is not managed properly, it will cause various problems that can lead to disharmony in the interaction patterns in that community. The diversity of students of Faculty of Social Science and Christian Humaniora (FISHK) of IAKN Tarutung leads to a tendency to cause grouping and even create competition which greatly affects the patterns of interactions among students. The purpose of this research is to develop the ASAS programs in revitalizing the social interaction patterns of students of Faculty of Social Science and Christian Humaniora (FISHK) of IAKN Tarutung. This research method uses quantitative description which aims to explain events which are described in the form of charts containing useful numbers. The four indicators for the Adaptive Program (A) show that 31.13% of respondents strongly agree to hold adaptive programs, 61.13% of respondents agree, 6.78% disagree and 0.88% of respondents strongly disagree. The seven indicators for the Spiritual Program (S) show that 38.14% of respondents strongly agree to hold spiritual activities, 56.71% of respondents agree, 5.14% of respondents disagree and no one strongly disagree. The five indicators for the Academic Program (A) show that 29.4% of respondents strongly agree to hold academic program, 61.6% of the respondents agree, 8.4% of respondents disagree and 0.6% of the respondents strongly disagree. The four indicators for the Spiritual Program (S) show that 30.75% of respondents strongly agree to hold social activities, 60% of the respondents agree, 8.75% of respondents disagree and less than one percent (0.5%) of respondents strongly disagree. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is not only affecting global health. But also from a global economic perspective, including a simulation of the Indonesian economy. This is indicated by the decline in Indonesia's gross domestic product in the first and second quarters. This prompted the Indonesian government to take strategic economic steps, including direct cash transfers for village funds. However, the realization of direct cash assistance for village funds has attracted a lot of criticism because many of its realization was deemed not on target. The funds managed by each village are self-help funds earmarked for village development. Therefore, the authors propose the ELECTRE method in building a decision information system that targets direct cash transfers to village funds as an alternative solution for the realization of direct cash transfers for village funds. ELECTRE is a multi-criteria decision support system. This research shows results that can be justified mathematically. Also prevents nepotism.

Abstract

Dealing with Kurtilas (2013) curriculum, the specific main point of the curriculum content is the use of authentic assessment for all the teachers to measure the learners learning achievementduring the learning process. Authentic assessment involves CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) as well as scientific learning, as the generalized methods of learning at schools all over Indonesia country. Since most of the teachers especially in Jambi Province were still unfamiliar and obscurity about authentic assessment, therefore, the researcher conduct an R&D research for the purpose of having a product that can help the teachers to overcome such an obscurity in Jambi. The result of this research proved that the instrument and the developed learning assessment model are both practical to use. It can be seen from the percentage of the respondents' responses towards the practicality, reliability, and validity that used to measure the afficacy of the developed model. The result of the t-test showed that t-obtained (4.6) was bigger than t-tab (at the significance level of α = 1% = 1.725; and at (α = 5 % = 2.528) which is symbolized with: 1.725 < 4.6 > 2. 528. in degrees of freedom (df) 20 (22-2) using two tailed test. It means that the developed model throughout the research is significantly effective for the teachers to use for assessing the learners' learning achievement authentically. On the other hand, qualitatively, the research questions are proved and answered that the teachers perception upon the authentic assessment coring on scoring rubric was improved after applying the product of this research with Pre-trial (1.8), Trial-1 (3.4), Trial-2 (4.9) using maximum scale 5.
