Solutions like our Recipe for Community, which is helping inner city residents come together and build a crucial sense of belonging. Your Bond with Toronto is a Donor Advised Fund in your name (the “Fund”) at Toronto Foundation. You now have the equivalent of your own private charitable foundation that is cost e�ective, self-directed and hassle free. Toronto Foundation will manage all aspects of administration, including accounting, audit, legal, receipting, tax �ling, governance and investment management for your Fund, so you can focus on creating the most impact from your charitable giving. A portion of the income earned from your Fund, typically a 3.5% of its market value, is available to be directed annually to Canadian registered charities of your choice. You also have access to the many customized services provided by Toronto Foundation, such as our research and community knowledge, that can connect you with new opportunities to enhance the di�erence you’re making through your philanthropy.

Toronto Foundation is a corporation without share capital, incorporated under the Corporations Act [Ontario] and registered as a charity under the Income Tax Act [Canada] . �is opportunity to contribute to the community is not a commercial bond or �nancial investment. Donors will receive no personal �nancial bene�t (either income or return of capital) beyond the income, if any, available to grant to charitable causes and the tax advantages of making a charitable contribution. Investment returns are not guaranteed and there may be restrictions on the withdrawal of contributed funds.

We have a vested interest in all of Toronto, re�ected in the wide range of initiatives we develop ourselves and participate in with others. Our annual Toronto’s Vital Signs® Report identi�es the trends and issues a�ecting city residents’ quality of life. Grants from our Vital Toronto Fund reach community leaders and organizations that are creating solutions to the issues. We bring donors together with private enterprise, government and community partners to collaborate on creating breakthrough programs. We also provide our donors with customized philanthropic services that help them have greater impact, and through our online Community Knowledge Centre, we connect them to a showcase of community organizations.
