that will ins ure s tru ctu ral soundness. ARDCM-80- 1, Volume 1 , sh all beused f o r guidance and refe renc e mater ia l i n the design and construct ion ofthe boilerplate.
3.4.2 Weight. - The boilerpla te shal l have a m as s and center ofgrav ity sim ila r to the mas s and center of gravity of the prototype ApolloSpacecra f t .
3.5 Groun d Supp ort Equipment. -. 3.5.1 General , - Ground support equipment shall be req uir ed to
t ran spor t , demo nstra te and tes t the boi lerpla te . The requ irem ents forground support equipment a r e not par t of this specification.4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 General . - Quality assu ran ce provisions for the boilerplate shal lbe in a cc ord an ce with the ap plicable port ions of NASA Bu lletin NCP200-2.
4.2 Inspectio n and Te st s. - Inspections and te st s t o de te rmineconformance of the boi lerpla te t'o contract and specification requirementsshal l be conducted pr ior t o delivery to the test si te.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.1 Airb orne Equipment. - Airborne equipment shal l be prep are d forde liv ery i n acco rdan ce with Specification SID 62-240.
5.2 Transportation. - Provis ions s hal l be included to t ransp or t thebo i le rp la te t o the test site.6. NOTES
6.1 Definit ions. - A boilerplate is a s imulated space craf t module forpre-develo pmen tal and /or developmental tes ts leading to the design of aprototype module.
