Boeing SC Workers' Guarantees To Ask The Union To Sign

A LEGAL CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN

THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF

MACHINISTS & AEROSPACE WORKERS (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE UNION)

AND

THE EMPLOYEES OF BOEING SOUTH CAROLINA (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS BSC EMPLOYEES)

THIS AGREEMENT IS BY AND BETWEEN THE UNION AND THE EMPLOYEES OF BOEING SC

WORKING IN NORTH CHARLETON, SOUTH CAROLINA VOTING IN A NATIONAL LABOR

RELATIONS BOARD-CONDUCTED ELECTION. IN CONSIDERATION OF THEIR PLEDGE TO VOTE

FOR THE UNION IN THE ELECTION TO BE CONDUCTED, THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF

MACHINISTS & AEROSPACE WORKERS HEREBY MAKES THE FOLLOWING WRITTEN

GUARANTEES:

1) The Machinists' union guarantees that Boeing SC employees shall receive a hourly wage increase of (check the appropriate amount below) per hour as result of negotiations:

Failure to sign the above guarantee is an admission that the union cannot guarantee you a wage increase of even .01 cent per hour as a result of collective bargaining.

2) The Machinists' union guarantees that employees will receive the above referenced wage increase within (check the appropriate box below) after the election.

Failure to sign the above guarantee is admitting that, as every negotiation is different, bargaining can take weeks, months or even years, with no guarantee that an agreement will be reached.

3) The Machinists' union guarantees that contract negotiations begin where your wages and benefits presently are and will only result in employees receiving increases in either their wages, benefits, or both. Further, the union

guarantees that no employee will suffer a reduction in wages and/or benefits due to collective bargaining. If you lose a benefit or have your wages reduced at any time, the Machinists' union will pay you for the lost

benefit or wage reduction until they are restored to the higher levels, for having misled you.


Failure to sign the above guarantee is admitting that it is possible for you to lose wages or benefits during collective bargaining and that things do not automatically improve solely due to negotiations. Employees can

end up with more, less, or the same as they have now.

4) The Machinists' union hereby guarantees employees that if employees do not like the Companys last and final offer but will not vote to authorize a strike, there will never be a contract where the employees could end up

earning less (either before or after being required to pay union dues and/or fees) as is allowable under the

IAM&AW International Consitution.


Failure to sign the above guarantee is an admission that the Machinists' union can and may, in fact, negotiate a contract that you may not like, or where you are making less as a result of collective bargaining.

5) The Machinists' union hereby guarantees that if the union calls a strike at Boeing in South Carolina (initial the boxes

next to any that can be guaranteed):

[] That employees will not lose income during the strike.

[] That striking employees cannot be permanently replaced during an economic strike.

[] That employees, while striking, will receive unemployment compensation (starting on the first day of

the strike).

[] The Machinists' union will provide full payment for hospitalization, and other benefits, while

employees are on strike, since the company has no obligation to do so.


Failure to check the boxes and sign the above guarantee is an admission that Boeing SC employees could be big losers in the event of a strike.

6) The Machinists' union guarantees that once employees become members of the union, union dues will never be more than $_________ per month. Further, the union guarantees there shall never be a union fine or assessment levied by

either the local or international union at any time. If union dues are increased, or if a fine or assessment is ever levied,

the Machinists' union will reimburse each employee dollar-for-dollar.


Failure to sign the above guarantee is an admission that the Machinists' union may, in fact, raise union dues and fine or assess its members.

7) The Machinists' union guarantees employees of Boeing SC that, if the union wins the election, the union will negotiate a contract wherein the union will stop the Company from disciplining employees (up to and including termination) for

violations of Company policies and procedures, as well as other forms of just cause.


Failure to sign the above guarantee is an admission that union cannot stop Boeing SC from enforcing its rules and policies, or from disciplining or terminating employees for cause.

8) The Machinists' union guarantees employees of Boeing SC that union will negotiate a contract where Boeing SC will change its wages, benefits, and/or policies to whatever the union asks for.


Failure to sign the above guarantee is an admission that union cannot force Boeing SC to agree to whatever wages, benefits, and/or policies that the union may ask for at the bargaining table.

I, ______________________, the undersigned, with the full intention and authority to be legally bound, agree that I am an

authorized agent of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers and hereby commit this union to

compensate any Boeing SC employee(s) for harm as a result of any breach of any one of the above guarantees made,

including without limitation all costs and attorneys fees incurred by each employee in bringing such actions. Further, I

agree that suit may be brought in any State or Federal court of competent jurisdiction by any Boeing SC employee(s) for

breach of any or all guarantees I have made and signed herein.
