XSL Stylesheet

• Enterprise Standard Format into something human readable

• Quick, early project• Possibility of further stylesheet needs• Later used to verify larger program• Skills: Intro to the group, XSLT, XML• ROI:

• Mine: Med-High; learned XML/XSLT• Boeing: Med; stylesheet proved useful.



ESC Script Conversions

• Convert scripts to work with ESC PTS• ~100 scripts in total• Worked with scripting team• Skills: Vbscript, Process Engineer (API), general

engineering practices.• ROI:

• Mine: High; learned PE and the PE API as well as vbscript• Boeing: High, met ESC milestones (Block Points).



Work Instruction Authoring GUI

• Main Project• Old system involved attaching pdf documents to IP's and

reading excel sheets.• Launched GUI while in PE to interface with database• Information is read from a dynamic library• Easy to update, fits new business practice• Skills: Interfacing with a database through PE API, VBA,

General ME practices• ROI:

• Mine: High; learned a lot about IP authoring, PE API and VBA• Boeing: High, now has a dynamic process which is easy to

update



Overall

• Learned a lot about Engineering• Worked with a great group of people• Working with a wide range of customers• Meeting requirements/deadlines• Documentation

Internship Comparison

• Credence vs Boeing:• Boeing is more concerned with proprietary information

and privacy• Heavy open source at Credence vs Highly proprietary at

Boeing• Tons of intern events at Boeing• Boeing has excellent benefits• Both groups were fairly relaxed (dress code, flexible

hours)

• Provided me with great contrast, both were great experiences
