1998 Adjunct Instructor, University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN) - taught middle school

science methods course to a group of 32 student interns. Also supervised a group of 12 student

interns who taught in the public school settings and provided end of term evaluations.

1997- 2000 Adjunct Instructor, Hamline University (St. Paul, MN) - served as a facilitator in a

K-12 Master’s degree program. Responsibilities included teaching 32, K-12 teachers, advising 15

students’ theses and developing course curriculum.

1989-1999 Middle/high school mathematics and science and Gifted Educational

Specialist/Teacher- Robbinsdale Public Schools - (St. Paul, MN) - Taught students in grades 6-

12 mathematics and science and also taught students in grades two through five (gifted program)

and provided services to teachers, parents and other district staff on issues concerning the

education of gifted students.

1996-1997 Curriculum Assistant -served as an administrative assistant to the principal.

Responsibilities included student discipline, class scheduling, student council, bus patrol, fund

raising, instruction of accelerated fifth graders, professional development in gifted and

multicultural education.

1975-1988 Mathematics and Science Teacher- Taught grades 6-12 for school districts in

Houston, Fort Worth, and Longview, Texas as well as Harvey, Louisiana.

Team, Educator Resource Center, and Exploration Station of John F. Kennedy Space

Center - I co-wrote this proposal (2006) to support science educators (Monetary$ 435,966 for

two years).

Co-PI 2008-2009 Marion County Project and a member of science writing team of curriculum

modules to support teachers’ professional development ($ 120,000).

PI 2007-2008 National Science Foundation Career Award Supplement- a proposal to extend

1997-2000 American Educational Research Association Evaluation Fellow - The association

selected the top six universities in United States to participate in program evaluation training in

mathematics, science and technology. I was selected as one of six participants at University of

Minnesota awarded this honor.
