I was lucky enough to play in the Bangkok In-
ternational Tens, I try to make it every year, and
have a shopping arrangement with tournament
director, Eddie Evans! This year the Jamboys lost
in extra time in the final, devastated of course but
buoyed by the fact that we won the ‘Team Spirit’
award! I took a photo with a touring Japanese
team, fantastic spirit and guts, what they lacked
in skill they made up for as gentlemen of the
game – great privilege that a few of them were
wearing Springbok rugby gear and were delighted
to grab a quick photo! See you in 2019 fellas!
The annual Cape Argus! Cycling is not my game (I
will have to lose 20+ kilos like @cornekrige6
and @colincharvis) but the Cape Argus is a fun ride
that I got roped into thanks to Adidas, all good, sore
bum and pride after being beaten by people on penny
farthings and in rhino suits! There is always next year!

appearanCeSform a large and enjoyaBle part
of BoB’S BuSy Calendar.
With the constant feedback that Bob “raises the
bar” and “brings a qualified and dynamic edge”
to proceedings, it’s no wonder when you see how
much he participates and enjoys these occasions!
fruit & Veg City recently hosted their National Confer-
ence in the city and while Bob was part of those pro-
ceedings at the CTICC, there was great sports to be had
on the golf course in the run up to the conference with
the large field of suppliers, clients and staff of Fruit
& Veg and with the founders, Brian and Mike Coppin.
tarsus recently held their annual awards evening and
dealers’ bash in the spectacular Monte Casino Courtyard
with over a 1000 in attendance on the night. The theme…
back to school… fitting as the whole venue was made up
with “classrooms”, “tuck shop” and “assembly” etc. In his
role as Host & MC, Bob took up the role in full stride!

The third in Bob Skinstad and Doug Boyes res-
taurant portfolio, the latest gem is at The Jose-
phine Mill next door to our good neighbours
WP Rugby and SAB, back where we belong.
The Mill is a beautiful building and we have
embraced this location and The Toad & Jose-
phine have certainly found the magic on the
banks of the Liesbeek River in Newlands!
Wood fired pizza oven, two lekker outside bars, and
the history of brewing and milling all around us is
what make the toad & josephine so special.
Come and check out the best ribs, springbok &
Guinness pie and pizzas in the Cape. As The Toad
himself always modestly says "I think you'll like it!"
Game days at the toad & josephine are buzzing
with activity and you are almost certain to bump into
legends of the game. Be sure to call in on your way to
Newlands! The itec innovate corner is always open for
clients and friends to pop in and share a welcome toast
on the day! Check this link out for contact details,
map and a fascinating history to Jacob the Toad!

SetH godinBeyond SHoWing up You've probably got that part nailed. Butt
in seat, smile on your face. We often run into
people who understand their job to be showing
up on time to do the work that's assigned.
We've moved way beyond that now. Showing up
and taking notes isn't your job. Your job is to
surprise and delight and to change the agenda.
Your job is to escalate, reset expectations and
make us delighted that you are part of the team.
