It’s December already!
Last month I was honored to be in the nominating committee for ASMBYC Yachtsman of the Year, Senior Sportsman of the Year,Sportsman of the Year, Competition Yachting Achievement and David Poe Memorial Yachting Service Awards.
After 8 years of tournament fishing in Mexico, Cap’n Jake is now on a trailer inside a ship sailing to New Zealand for the newhomeport in Bay of Plenty (Tauranga) south of Auckland. Barrie Harnett tells me they have some big marlins waiting for us downunder.
Thanks to Tony and his helpers, Comedy night was as always a great success.
Friday Dec 11th is the Change of Guards at PMYC for 2010 and Nick, Nicole and Natalie Cecola’s annual Christmas Dinner. Sign upsheet at the Club.
Saturday Dec 12th. This year we have a boat in the Boat Parade from PMYC thanks to Pam and John. Make sure not to miss it. Theyhave been putting in tons of work and they still need some help. Let’s bring the trophy back to the club again.
Sunday Dec 13th. Kids Christmas Party. Bring your kid, grand kid or you friend’s kids. Free food and Santa will have presents foreveryone under 12. (Tony, don’t even think about it.) Make sure to call the club so we know the age, gender and name of the child.

I'm excited about the prospect of becoming Vice-Commodore next year. I hope I cando the position justice as well as Kent did this year.
Unless someone wants to jump up and volunteer, I offer to continue to be the LogEditor for another year but would not hesitate to turn the task over. If not, all I ask isthat you submit your pictures and stories to [email protected]. I thank all of youthat contributed this year.
My last word for the year is my Humongous Thank You to my wife Candy! She hashelped me beyond measurement as well as what she and Tina have done as Chefs forso many Club Functions this year. My only appology is that I'm such a meat-and-potato guy.

PMYC is back in the BoatParade.
Pam & John & Friendshave been workingovertime to make it
beautiful.Hello Fellow PMYCers!!
First, I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!! Alex and Violet Tissot did a tremendous job with Thanksgivingdinner and there was a very good turnout on Thanksgiving Day.
Well, it's only a few more days to the boat parade. Thanks to all the members showing up and catching the boatparade fever, pitching in and, of course, the Watch and Critique Squad providing additions to the refine vision.
Next, I'd like to apologize to Peter Sternberger (who is our honorary Elf) for incorrectly acknowledging PeterCzarnowski (whom I've never met). Peter Sternberger has used his truck to pick up and deliver parts to MichaelDonovan, who has tackled shopping at Home Depot to purchase the hardboard for the design of the sleigh, as wellas, cut, sand and painted the sleigh. THANK YOU, Michael Donovan!! Thanks to Peter Sternberger who also picked upand delivered the long board donated by Rex Michel. THANK YOU, Rex. Thanks to Peter Sternberger for helping ElfJohn Beabes with the adjustments of the longboard on the bow of the Invictus. Elf Peter has been right there atevery step helping us get the many little things we need to make this project a success, as well as finding ways to tiethe boat so the lights don't hit the dock and just about Peter you are now an honorary Elf!!
THANKS to Kent Andersson for finding the most perfect Rudolph and for helping Elf John
The Elf's Workshop has been very busy this past Thanksgiving week-end. Commodore Elf Leslie Bond designed thelights of the sleigh and stapled her little fingers to the bone, and Trevor Bazeley helped with the project. What awonderful design. THANK YOU, Leslie. THANK YOU, Trevor.
Elf Susan England cut and sewed Santa's Hawaiian Shirt and tacked it onto our Santa.
THANKS to Bob Butte, Scott McCullough, Sparky Mundo, Steve Cordova and Peter Sternberger for carrying the aftsleigh to the boat and helping PMYC's #1 Elf John Beabes with the assembly of the aft sleigh.
Rear Commodore Elf Kim LeVern has been designing the coconut bra lights and lighting the hula skirts, as well asputting them on and going on the boat for us all to get a "look-see". Believe it or not but Kim knows all the words toMele Kalikemaka (and has a beautiful voice).
THANKS to Ellen McKay who so generously donated leis anddecorations for the after party.
THANKS to Candy Brown for cooking the most delicious dinner, smothered pork chops, baked mashed potatoes, corn and homemadeapple sauce for our busy Elves.
THANKS to the Hula Elves Souix Polo, Deborah Pitt, Marina Uhe andKendra Moy for coming by to try on the outfits and getting aboard forus to have "look-sees" with the lights and without the music.REHEARSALS START THIS WEEK-END.
THANKS to Alex & Sue Hasenclever, PMYCs 2002 Parade BoatWinners who have been visiting us from La Paz, Mexico.
If I've forgotten anyone, I apologize and please let me know so I canpost the next update.
PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE AFTER PARTYFEATURING UNCLE MONKEY. The AfterParty will begin around 7:30 p.m. Come down tothe club and watch the PMYC Winning Boatreturn from the parade.
