A. Paul King County ParkSituated on lovely Manahawkin Lake,this park lies nestled in the heart ofStafford Township. It offers a variety ofrecreation possibilities, a brightly-colored children’s playground and a largepicnic area shaded by a stand of pines.Recreation and Amenities• Basketball Courts• Horse shoe pit• Swimming• Playground• Canoe Launch• Car Top Launch

• Beach with lifeguards on duty during summer hours

Why Do We Need Lifeguards?
A. Paul King has become increasingly popularover the years. Lifeguards play a vital rolein keeping us safe and protected, whileenjoying a day at A. Paul King County Park.Unfortunately, many people disregard thesigns not to swim in unguarded areas, compromising their safety and the safety ofothers. To keep everyone safe, only swim inguarded areas and listen to the lifeguardsignals.
To reserve a picnic area please contact 1-877-OC-PARKS for an application.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON PICNIC RESERVATIONS --
DATES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE- A Beer & Wine Permit is not allowedwithout a picnic reservations, and canonly be purchased at the time of reser-vation. Beer in cans or kegs and winein wine boxes is allowed. In order toqualify for a Beer & Wine Permit, the“responsible” party must be 21 yearsof age and must attach a copy of his/her valid driver’s license with matchingname and address. Alcoholic beveragesare STRICTLY PROHIBITED outside ofthe picnic area.- In the event that the NEW JERSEYFOREST FIRE SERVICE issued a ban onall OPEN FIRES due to dry weatherconditions, grilling of any kind willbe STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Children’s Safety Tips• Always have an adult nearby. Even ifyou’re a great swimmer, you neverknow when you might need help.
• Set a good example so younger kidsknow how to behave. The lake is onlysafe when EVERYONE follows therules.
• Tell an adult if there’s a problem. Youdon’t want to get hurt, so let an adulttake care of it.
• Check the water depth. You don’t wantto get hurt diving into water that’s tooshallow.
• Always wear sunscreen. Without it,you could end up with a painful sunburn, which can lead to other healthproblems.
• No running! You could slip or trip -hurting not just yourself, but someoneelse as well.
Rules and Regulations for Picnic PermitsAll picnic reservations for group sizes up to 74people are takes on a first-come, first-servedbasis. Applications and payment must besubmitted at least three (3) weeks before your requested date.
