BMW 3 Series 325i Maintenance Tips

The 3-series is a great get-around car with its moderate price and aggressive sales and lease policy.

That's why you see more and more folks driving the 3-series everyday. It's also related to high-priced

Japanese counterparts.

Due to the this, many of Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Acura, and Infinity buyers are being pushed into luxury

German vehicles. With the introduction of a 3-Series coupe and convertible, BMW continues the process

of redesigning the entire 3-Series lineup. Both 2-door trims are all new and share a platform with the

sedan, which was introduced in 1999.

The 1999 3-Series is available in five trims: 325i and 330i sedan; 325Ci and 330Ci coupe; 325Ci

convertible. Standard safety equipment includes dual front and side airbags, optional rear side airbags, a

head protection system, an anti-lock brake system (ABS), All-Season Traction (AST), Dynamic Stability

Control (DSC), and a crash sensor that automatically unlocks doors and turns on hazard lights.

The BMW 325i and 325Ci are powered by a 2.5-liter 184-horsepower 6-cylinder engine, while the 330i

and 330Ci feature a 3.0-liter 225-horsepower in-line 6-cylinder engine. Standard equipment includes

automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, a theft-deterrent system, intermittent

wipers, an onboard computer (except 325i), remote keyless entry, and an AM/FM stereo with cassette

and ten speakers.

The 330i and 330Ci upgrade with power front seats. The coupes feature a sport-tuned suspension and a

unique front spoiler, while the convertible adds a triple-layered, fully lined!
