Romans 12:12 

Rejoice in hope, be patient

in tribulation, be constant in

prayer.

WHY WE PRAY

We find intimacy with God through communicating with Him in prayer. We go to Him in faith, knowing

that He hears and answers all our prayers (1 John 5:14). Be confident that God knows and wants what is

best for us; so ask that His will be done in all we seek from Him. Then, thank Him for it, even though it

hasn’t happened yet.

ALWAYS PRAYERS

Therapy is wonderful. However, becoming "healthy" or

"well adjusted" in the eyes of a broken world is not our

goal. Please pray that every girl who passes through

the doors of Hope Haven meets Jesus. That they fall in

love with him, and that He is the source of their hope

and strength.

Adoption is one of the most powerful images that God

gives us to parallel the way that we, once strangers,

have been grafted into the family of God. Pray that

Godly families will respond to the command of

scripture to look after the fatherless, and take our

adoptable girls into their home.

Our enemy thrives in chaos, and a foster home can be

a chaotic place. Pray that the staff would be united,

both in common submission to the Word of God, and

in the mission that he has given them.

THIS WEEK PRAYERS

Pray that L would continue to fight against the desire

to hurt herself. That she would find healthy ways to

express anger and set boundaries while she works

through her family separating as a result of addiction.

Pray that she would see the dysfunction and pain that

will always accompany that lifestyle, forgive her

parents, and choose something better for herself.

Often, when we are used to the mud, being clean is

uncomfortable. Pray that K would be protected from

the pain of her old life, would turn to Rock, to the Safe

Place that is Christ, and would allow herself to be

helped.

THIS WEEK PRAYERS

Pray that H would be adopted. She so wants to be part

of a family, and it's particularly hard on her when she

see's other picked, and not her. Also please pray that

she will be able to stay awake in class. We all know

what that's like. Lastly, please pray for her physical

health.

So often connected, J has asked for prayer that she

would grow in self-confidence, and that she would

have healthy relationships this year. Please pray that J

will be able to get a job as well.

D's is losing her mother, with whom she has always

been close, to dementia. Pray that D would trust that

God has a plan for this, and that he is both fully in

control, and fully loving.

Pray for Kim's great nephew; he is in the hospital

recovering from having his breast bone removed. Pray

for quick healing, and peace for his family.
