GREETING L Sisters and brothers in Christ, grace, mercy and
peace be with you all. C And also with you.
LORD HAVE MERCY ELW P203
PRAYER OF THE DAY P Let us pray, C God of love, in our prayers we often ask for
things you have already given us and we plead for things that we do not need to live well. When we come before you in prayer, teach us not to think of what we want, but to meditate instead on who you are. Teach us to rely on you as a loving parent. Amen.

PRAYERS OF GOD’S PEOPLE(PSALM 138) L I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart,
before the gods I sing your praise; C I bow down toward your holy temple and give
thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness;
L for you have exalted your name and your word above everything.
C On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.
L All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
C They shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord.
L For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he perceives from far away.
C Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me against the wrath of my enemies; you stretch out your hand, and your right had delivers me.
L The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
C Do not forsake the work of your hands.
SPOKEN PETITIONS
RECONCILIATION L The peace of Christ be with you all. C And also with you.
