WE WELCOME ALL NEWCOMERS AND VISITORS

TO BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH. If you would

like to register at Blessed Sacrament, registration forms

are available at the back of the church, in the parish

office, or register online at blsac.org.

BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/

children baptized should contact the Parish Office. A

preparatory session is mandatory for the proper for-

mation of parents and godparents. You must be an ac-

tive member at Blessed Sacrament (3 months min.).

MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter into a sacramental

marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six

months prior to the intended date.

VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish Office

should a relative/friend who is homebound/hospitalized

need a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of Anointing. A

priest will attend to the Sacrament and, as needed, will

arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to your

loved one.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:

Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments are

taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation. Please

DEFINITION OF AN ACTIVE PARISHIONER

A "Registered and Active" family/individual is one who:

1.Has been formally registered in the parish for at least 3 months.

2.Participates in Worship through weekly attendance at a Sunday Mass.

3.Uses the supplied Weekly Envelopes.

4.Is involved in a Parish or School Ministry through the sacrificial giving of Time, Talent & Treasure.

• If you give online, please turn in your empty envelopes weekly at Mass and check "I give online."

• If you contribute periodically through the collection, please remember to put in envelopes weekly, even if

empty, and mark "I attended Mass."

• Contributions in cash can only be considered when presented in the parish envelope.

• Multiple envelopes put in at a weekend Mass will be considered participation for that one Mass.

• Envelopes Dropped off or Mailed will not be considered participation at Mass.

"KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS GOES 'INTO THE BREACH' TO HELP MEN'S SPIRITUALITY" is the title of an

article recently published on the web site KofC.org. A new video series addresses challenges

facing modern men in their spiritual journey. In a 12-episode online video series titled "Into the

Breach," the Knights address many of the challenges modern men face, including fatherhood,

marriage, and leadership. Blessed Sacrament will be rolling out the course in two venues. The first

will be on October 17th in the church hall, and the second will be in a Zoom meeting format on

October 19th. Additional information will be forthcoming in the weeks leading up to the event.

DEFINICIÓN DE UN FELIGRÉS ACTIVO

Una familia activa de la parroquia es aquella que ha estado debidamente inscrita en la parroquia al menos por

tres meses consecutivos, participa en el culto asistiendo a las Misas dominicales (puede ser la Misa del sábado de

las 5 p. m.), colocando el sobre semanal en el ofertorio como evidencia, y participa activamente en un ministerio

del colegio o de la iglesia, y además, participa en la ofrenda con gratitud y sacrificio.

USO DE LOS SOBRES EN LA MISA

Si usted da su ofrenda por internet, por favor, entregue su sobre vacío en la Misa marcando la casilla «I give

online». Si Ud. da su ofrenda en la Misa, recuerde que en el día que no contribuya, debe colocar el sobre vacío

marcando la casilla «My family participated […]».

El no usar los sobres por tres meses coloca a la persona o familia como inactiva. Los sobres y las contribuciones se

registran en la semana en que se reciben. Para que su asistencia y su contribución se registren correctamente,

asegúrese de que el sobre que use tenga claramente su nombre completo y dirección.

Un miembro activo de la Iglesia Blessed Sacrament puede contar con el privilegio de un descuento en el pago del

COLEGIO CATÓLICO BLESSED SACRAMENT O DEL BACHILLERATO BISHOP ENGLAND.

Debido al Covid-19, entendemos la situación de la asistencia a la Misa y su dispensa. Si usted no está

asistiendo a la Misa porque está preocupado por su salud, por favor, enviar su sobre por correo o dar su

ofrenda por internet. Durante estos tiempos de pandemia, si usted no está asistiendo a Misa, no envía sus

Una invitación directa de Dios para ir a trabajar a la viña. ¿Debemos atender a este llamado?

Señor, estamos muy ocupados en muchas otras cosas. El trabajo del ministerio en la Iglesia y

comunidad no nos interesa mucho, porque no deja dividendos. Al contario, es pérdida de tiempo

para muchos. O también se piensa que es cosa de mujeres y de niños. Para animar a salir del

confort y decir sí a algún ministerio en la parroquia o en la comunidad, San Pablo en la Carta a los

Filipenses anima a la comunidad, con las siguientes recomendaciones que no nos caen nada mal en

la actualidad. “No hagan nada por rivalidad o vanagloria. Que cada uno tenga la humildad de creer

que los otros son mejores que él mismo. No busque nadie sus propios intereses, sino que más bien

preocúpese cada uno por los demás. Tengan unos con otros los mismos sentimientos que tuvieron en

Cristo Jesús”. (Filipenses 2:3-5). ¿Practicamos, ya, alguno de estos consejos?

Siempre es tiempo de escuchar la voz de Dios en nuestro interior. Decirle que sí vamos a donde él

nos pida, cumpliéndolo con fidelidad y cariño, para el bien de uno mismo y de la comunidad. Asistir

a Misa cada domingo es una gracia de Dios. Sin embargo, es un reto muy grande porque exige un

cambio radical de vida y un compromiso de hacer algo. Lo fundamental en este Evangelio, es la

respuesta de conversión individual. Dios te llama a ti personalmente: “Hijo/hija, hoy tienes que ir a

trabajar en la viña”. (Mateo 21:28).
