Lenten Fast Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday and on all the Fridays of Lent. Fasting is to be observed on Ash Wednesday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age

but not yet 59. Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength ac-

cording to one‘s needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not per-mitted. The special Paschal fast, as well as abstinence, are prescribed

for Good Friday and encouraged for Holy Saturday.

La Ayuna Cuaresmal Abstinencia: Todos los católicos mayores de 14 años,

deben abstenerse de comer carne el Miércoles de Ceniza y todos los viernes de Cuaresma. El Ayuno debe ser observado el Miércoles de

Ceniza por todos los católicos que han-cumplido los dieciocho (18) años pero no han llegado a los cincuenta y nueve (59). Estas personas sólo pueden hacer una comida completa, y dos comidas pequeñas si son necesarias para mantener las fuerzas, de acuerdo a las necesidades individuales, pero no se permite alimento sólido entre las comidas. El

ayuno así como la abstinencia Pascual especial obliga el Viernes Santo y es recomendada en el Sábado Santo también.

Hasta el Extremo

Personas hacen acciones maravillosas para su familia, sus vecinos. Los bomberos entran a un lugar encendido

para buscar a las personas. Líderes hacen riquezas para la gente. El amor de Dios no tiene límites. Este fue

evidente en la historia de la Pasión y la Muerte de Jesucristo. Esta revelación de Dios nos mueve a imitarlo. San

Pablo lo reconoció: “Se anonado a si mismo, tomando la condición de siervo.” No es imposible para nadie de

seguirlo. Tenemos la confianza descrita por Isaías: “Pero, el Señor me ayuda, por eso no quedare confundido.”

Cuando seguimos a Cristo, realizamos el mismo premio: “Dios lo exalto sobre todas las cosas.” Pues, volvemos a

Dios cantando: “Honor y gloria a ti, Señor Jesús.”

Bienvenidos

Este domingo, el Domingo de Ramos, veremos a mucha gente en el santuario. Como evangelizadores, necesi-

tamos dares la bienvenida.

El Sacramento de la Reconciliation

Al comenzar la Santa Semana, tendremos Confesiones, Lunes 21 de marzo, comenzando a las 7pm, hasta que

todos se confiesen.

More than Ever

People do marvelous things for their family, their neighbors. Firefighters go into a burning building to search for

people. Leaders take risks for their people. The love of God has no limits. This was evident in the story of the Pas-

sion and Death of Jesus Christ. This revelation of God moves us to imitate him. St. Paul recognized that. “He emp-

ties himself, taking the form of a slave.” It is not impossible for anyone to follow him. We have the confidence de-

scribed by Isaiah: “The Lord God is my help, therefore I am not disgraced.” When we follow Christ, we realize the

same reward: “God greatly exalted him.” And so, we turn to God, singing: “Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus

Christ.”

Welcome

This Sunday, Palm Sunday, we will see a lot of people in Church. As evangelizers, we need to welcome them.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

At the start of Holy Week, we will have Confession on Monday, 21st of March 2016 at 7pm until all have received

the sacrament.
