Composer NotesThis song was originally written for school masses; it can be found on two recordings, Morning &Evening – Prayer for the Commute, Prayer for the Journey (double CD, ed. 20099; songbook, ed.20139) and Glory Bound (ed. 20638), a compilation CD of pieces from Morning & Evening.

Liturgical Use: Sing at any mass or prayer service with themes of praise or trust in God, andduring Lent. It may also be sung as a song of praise at the end of services of Reconciliation. Youmight like to ask children to write their own verses of praise.

Performance: Sing in a gospel style and add percussion if you like. The two harmony parts aresuggestions only; feel free to add other harmony or improvise as the piece grows.

End the piece by repeating the refrain several times, getting stronger and stronger.

—Christopher Walker
