in Memoriam
NO MATTER THE SIZE OF THE ROOM, WHEN HE SPOTTED ME ONthe floor, he’d give me a thumb’s up.As interview subjects, both he and Rusty Burns ranged from theprofound to the profane with their take-no-prisoners candor. We(Buddy magazine) almost lost Brook Mays as an advertiser when myinterview with these two, laced with f-bombs at a rapid pace, ran as-is.They were colorful, entertaining and honest.I might be a writer but right now, words are failing me miserably. All I know is John will be sorely missed.
