Harvest FestivalThank you very much for your generous donations
towards our Harvest Festival appeal. Thegoods were collected last
week by the Ace of Clubs charity who support the homeless.
Black History Month EventsNext week we have organised a range of
exciting events for all members of our schoolcommunity to celebrate
Back History Month.
Monday 18th October 9-10 a.m. Coffee MorningExperience delicious
Ethiopian tea and coffee in the Youth Club from 9-10 a.m. All are
welcome.
Tuesday 19th October 10.40 a.m. Fashion ShowCome and see
children from Year 5 and 6 Modelling African garments designed and
made by alocal youth charity.
Tuesday 19th
October 2.50 p.m. Capoeira DemonstrationSome of the children in
the school will participate in capoeira workshops during the day
and then
from 2.50pm a demonstration will be held in the hall.
Wednesday 20th October 4.15-5.00 p.m. Steel Pans Performance
andWorkshopCome along to see our new steel pans band perform for
the first time at 4.15pm and then tryyour hand at playing the pans
for yourself in a short workshop afterwards.
Thursday 21st 8-9.30 a.m. Street DanceChildren throughout the
school will participate in street dance workshops during the day,
but wewould like to invite you to participate in a short adult only
session either from 8-8.30 or from 9-
9.30 a.m.
Friday 22nd October from 9.00 a.m. Gospel ConcertAll of the
children in the school have been learning Gospel songs during the
course of the monthand we would like to share them with you during
our whole school collective worship assembly.
Please get involved in what promises to be an exciting week of
events.

2.50 3.15 pm Whole school Capoeira demonstration
I suggest the cabin as a good place to do it. There is usually a
phonics group in there from until9.20. Jo is there anywhere else
they could go?
