/ 2003: In March we received a special authorization by the Ministry

of Economic affairs to work on Saturday and Sundays (“Continuous

Parliament (EMAS II) was concluded with success with the

GENDER EQUALITY @ BITZER

/ First contacts in 2010 by NerCab (local employer-organization in

Castelo Branco), between BITZER and other companies

/ Participation on 29th of September 2010 on a workshop in Castelo

Branco: Social Situation “Occupational desegregation in tackling

poverty”

/ Participation on 10th of November 2010 in Lisbon on an international

conference “Professional equality as a factor of growth”.


GENDER EQUALITY @ BITZER

/ 2010: Compromise of BITZER to admit young female trainees for a

professional training course “CNC machine operators”, organized by

local Employment and Training Organization

(IEFP Castelo Branco)

/ 2011: Subscription of the project “Managing

for Equality” (by NerCab) in cooperation with

Coolabora

/ 2011: Internal training of involved employees

/ Making the diagnosis and plan the gender

equality

/ Ongoing project till end of 2011.


Gender Equality as a Social Responsability


GENDER EQUALITY AS A SOCIAL RESPONSABLITY

/ During the 2011th project “Managing for Equality” we came in contact

with some points for improvement in our organization

/ We learned that “Gender Equality” is a part of the “Social

Responsibility” for companies

/ We heard that this project can bring improvements in our organization

(Higher motivation? More productivity? Less absence time?)

/ We started activities for:

Renegotiation of special terms and conditions for our employees

with our house bank

Contacting our agent for insurances (special agreement)

Working out of proposals for individual agreements with our

employers for “banc hours” (flexible working time)

/ We have more sensibility for “gender issues”, e.g. adapting our internal

documents “gender unspecific”….

/ and…..
