BITS & BYTES
Greetings OCVS Families & Friends! We have reached the end of another incredible school year at OCVS. And what an incredibly busy and exciting year it has been! I am so proud to be able to serve the wonderful students of OCVS. Academically, this has been a stellar year. Although we still anxiously await the results of our state assessments, we believe that they will be remarkable, beyond what we could have imagined six years ago when we embarked on this virtual journey. We could not have come this far without the hard work and ambitions of our students. What a joy it is to work with all of our students and watch them navigate the virtual academic world and be so successful in it! Our progress and our desire for continuous school improvement is because of them and for them. We continue to put our students first! I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of our amazingly dedicated teachers, stakeholders, and Partners in Educa-tion for their time, energy, generosity and support of our efforts throughout the school year. “Thank you” for partnering with us in the education of our students. We could not have done it without you! I also wish you all an excellent summer, wherever you may be, may you take time to rest and spend time with loved ones. Lastly, to those students leaving us this school year, from those who have graduated to those taking an alternative road in educa-tion; I hope that your hopes and dreams come to fruition and that as you move on to another school, start college or join the work force, your dreams will be realized. I extend a special “thank you” for your involvement at OCVS and you will certainly be missed. May you all have an adventurous, productive, and safe summer!
Until next year,

Graduate No matter which road
you choose,
No matter how long
it may seem,
Let your heart be your guide
along the way,
if you want to fulfill your
dreams.
No matter the detours,
the road blocks or dark nights
continue your heart’s desire.
Lift up your torch,
and don’t be afraid
to set the world on fire.
You are the light
of a new day,
shine for all to see.
Carry your knowledge from
This day forward,
blaze a trail for history.
No one will ever be
quite like you,
remember this important
Truth.
We all have a purpose
in this life,
and it begins in our youth.
Who you are now,
and who you will become,
is determined by your soul.
And with your dreams in your
heart, to lead the way,
you can conquer any goal.
CONTRATULATIONS!

It was a gorgeous day at Congo River Golf as OCVS’ families and teachers gathered for a final game of putt-
putt. It was simply a day to gather and have some fun! Our students have worked very hard and it was fun
well deserved. Thank you to all who joined us on this hot sunny day. And a special thank you to Mrs. Lyon
for making this all happened as well as Mrs. Gurley, Mr. & Mrs. Curran, Mr. & Mrs. Besuden, and
Mr. Shelanskey for your support and participation.
We wish you many fun moments like this over the summer break!
Members of the National Junior Honors Society and the ‘Do Something’ Club, along with their
families, assembled hundreds of snack packs, toiletry kits, and comfort kits for the Ronald McDonald House. More often than not, families arrive at the House with the
bare minimum. These care kits will help families sustain themselves during long hours at their child’s bedside and make them feel more at home.
