Bishop Shanahan High School Fall Newsletter Dear Parents of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, Greetings from Bishop Shanahan High School! Happy Fall! I hope you are enjoying these beautiful days. All is well at BSHS! We have had a joyful beginning of the school year as we celebrates SIXTY YEARS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN CHESTER COUNTY. We raised our new flags - US, Papal, and School - for the first time on September 11. Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald celebrated our opening liturgy on September 15. Homecoming Week, "A DIAMOND CELEBRATION" was a great success. All year long we will celebrate our Diamond Anniversary with joy-filled hearts and gratitude to God. It is hard to believe we are already coming to the end of the first quarter and our students are well into their studies. As you know, along with spiritual growth and the cultivation of a spirit of service, academics are a priority here at BSHS. Strong academic programs are a hallmark of our school. In addition, Fall sports are moving into "playoff mode." It has been a very exciting season. Thanks to our Fine Arts department, it is almost time for the Fall musical and we are getting ready to enjoy energetic singing and dancing as our students present "Footloose" in November. Shanahan truly is a blessed, busy place filled with happy teenagers! There is something for everyone here! At this time of year, we have many important dates for your family. Our 8th grade SCHOLARSHIP TEST will be held on October 28. Shadow Days and Tours are also available for 8th graders. All are welcome to our Fall Open House on November 12 where you will meet with faculty, coaches, and current students; tour the campus; and enjoy classroom demonstrations and an academic presentation by our Principal and Vice- Principal for Academic Affairs. We look forward to seeing you at these events. We know you have a choice in high school education. Please COME AND SEE what Shanahan has to offer your child. You will not be disappointed. God bless your families. Dear Parents of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students,

Greetings from Bishop Shanahan High School!
