    director at Barratt Manch-ester, said: In normalcircumstances it can bevery difficult for men andwomen who have served inthe Forces to buy a home oftheir own, because of thedifficulty of raising adeposit and getting amortgage.But this initiative means

    first time buyers in Wirralnow have the chance tomove into a new home witha deposit of as little as3,859. Armed Forcespersonnel who want to goto the front of the queueshould call our hotline on0844 815 6196.The offer also applies to

    ex-Regular servicemen andwomen who have served fora minimum of six yearsand also to the survivingpartners of militarypersonnel who have died inservice.It isnt only the Armed

    Forces who will be eligibleto take advantage of First-Buy, though any house-hold with a combinedincome of up to 60,000qualifies.

    Under FirstBuy, buyerswill be offered a loan of upto 20% of the price of theproperty, jointly funded byBarratt Manchester and theGovernments Homes andCommunities Agency.The buyers then have to

    find the remaining 80% ofthe price themselves. Up to75% of this could be amortgage, leaving a depositof just 5%.Homes currently
