In North East Iceland you have the lovely harbour-side town of Husavik, The Whale Watching Capital of Iceland. The Area of Lake Myvatn, which is renowned for the high number of different breeding species of ducks and other waterfowl, having species migrating both from Europe and America. There are several waterfalls in North East Iceland, including Dettifoss, the most powerful in Europe.
