RESEARCH FOCUSThe primary mission of the Biostatistics (BST) is to support FNUSA-ICRC investigators in the conduct of high-quality, innovative health-related research by providing expertise in biostatistics, statistical programming, and data management. BST researchers and staff collaborate with investigators on all aspects of research: study design and grant development; data capture and statistical analysis; interpretation of results and manuscript preparation. The BST team contributes to all types of research, including basic science, clinical, epidemiological, and health services.BST current methodological research interests are in the areas of survival data, clinical trials, and biomarker studies, as motivated by problems that arise in studies of neurologic diseases and cancer.Research activities include study of the high order asymptotics, the saddlepoint approximation for the density and distribution function and study of delayed entry in Cox proportional hazards model.
