Methods :

PDKB existing implementation methods are nowimplemented in the PT. PLN (Persero) divided into threeways, namely:

1. The method uses stick Insulation (Hot Stick or Distance

Method), usually to network with Medium and HighVoltage (High Voltage Air Line / SUTT) (eg network voltage20 kV / kilo Volts-150 kV). This method has beenimplemented by PLN Distribution / Areas in Indonesia.

2. The method by touching directly (Bare Hand Method),

usually for the Air Line Extra High Voltage (SUTET) andUltra High (eg networks with voltage 230 kV-500 kV). Thismethod has been implemented by PT. PLN (Persero) P3BJawa Bali since 2004.

Hot stick methods

This method was first carried out for replacement of

insulators under-voltage condition. In this method, workers

(Linesman) do not touch the equipment voltage directly by

hand. But by using tools that are isolatif. These tools are made

available to be used to separate isolatif for two differentvoltages, the voltage and phase voltage wire to replace the

insulator (ground). With the equipment and if it did it in a safe

distance, it is certain that those who do the work of

replacement of insulators is in a safe condition.

Barehands methods

This method is the development of methods Hot Stick.The use of this method is due to the use of this methodis no longer effective Hot Stick to the system with extrahigh voltage transmission. This is because, the higher

the voltage, the system will also be thick insulation.The more thick insulation systems of equipment, it willbe more severe such equipment to carry. Therefore, itis developing methods Barehand. In this method,workers (Linesman) will be fed the same voltage with

the voltage phase wire. With her stress on the body ofthe worker with the phase wire is because workers(Linesman) uses a conductive clothing that can drainvoltage.

EQUIPMENT USED BY PDKB

A. Hook Pole

Hook pole is the equipment used for the installation and dismantling of equipment to be

installed in the conductor voltage.

B.Tie Pole

Tie pole is the equipment used remedy open and put the tie wire to the conductor as a

binder in the insulator.C.By pass jumper

By pass jumper is the equipment used for the connection, typically used in construction work

on the Medium Voltage jumpers.

D.Conductor cover

Cover Conductor conductor is used in order to cover the distance from the conductor

linesmen can be as close as possible. Usually in PTS maintenance work.E.Stairs isolation

Isolation ladder is the ladder used by linesmen not to touch directly with the ground.

F.Aluminum Ladder

The stairs are made of aluminum which is used as a foundation in order not to miss.
