- In 2003, India and Singapore signed a bilateral agreement on expanding military cooperation, conducting joint military training, developing military technology and achieving maritime security. - The Singaporean Navy and the Indian Navy have conducted joint naval exercises and training since 1993 such as SIMBEX and MILAN near India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands. India and Singapore have also expanded their cooperation in fighting terrorism.

Benefits of Bilateral Relations

Bilateral Relations is more Beneficial because..

• The benefits of Bilateral Relations is undoubtedly more as it brings countries closer to each other. Countries are helping each other on a 1 to 1 basis, which allows both countries to have a better impression of each other. It is easier and more direct for the countries to repay their kindness; Bilateral Relations allows countries to help each other against terrorism, or with other security concern by providing their assistance directly.

• Bilateral aid has the potential to help in the war against terrorism, or with other security concerns, in a way that multilateral aid cannot.

• When strong relationship is formed between two countries, they are able to treat each other as friends and many learning process can take place, representatives could visit the other countries to learn and broaden his perspective about many things - education, governance, social and civil issues

• Furthermore, in international and regional relations, it is hard and almost impossible for the organisations to take care of everyone's interest as there is a large amount of countries that need their help. It is not possible for them to extend their aid to every single country, even if there is aid, it might be delayed or even insufficient. Bilateral relations ensures that we get a faster and probably an immediate reaction from another country who we have worked together for a long time, which allow us to gain sufficient assistant

• Regional and international relations also have diplomatic policies which allow the organisation to help countries in need, it is not a two sided aid, as the countries are often unable to repay the kindness directly to the organisation. Hence, bilateral relations is more beneficial as the affirmation and recognition the aiding country shows, will increase their own reputation amongst neighbouring countries.

• Therefore, bilateral relations is more important than the other relations as it can benefit us the way the two other relations can benefit us and more.
