1 Dear BIND Friends, BIND fills a crucial gap in the rehabilitative process by helping adult brain injury survivors of stroke, traumatic brain injury, or brain cancer transition from medical patient to productive community member. Through participation at BIND, our members reduce the severity of mental illness, learn ways to cope with depression and anxiety, are able to return to gainful employment, community volunteering, and improve quality of life. Since our establishment in 2012 BIND has met and exceeded numerous programming, operational and fund development goals. We currently serve more than 60 members, provide outreach across Texas, and continue to onboard new members. BIND entered 2020 with targeted growth well under way. The invasion of COVID-19 has slowed this progress and BIND shut its (physical) doors on March 13th. In response, our team and members built a thriving virtual online clubhouse to reduce isolation, provide key community resources, monitor and encourage physical activity, and support quality of life. Unfortunately, although BIND's work continues - funding has significantly diminished. In the darkness of the pandemic - a bright light has emerged and led us to the opportunity to reach a key organizational milestone. BIND has been awarded two-year funding from the Texas Health and Human Service Commission! These funds, available in December, will support Plano operations and expansion into Tarrant County. Our members, Board, volunteers and staff are excited and ready to grow to reach more families across North Texas. However, between now and December lies a $100,000 funding gap that we must find a way to cross in order to move into our future. We need your support to build the bridge across that gap. To honor our BIND supporters who stand with us and help cross this chasm in such unprecedented times we are establishing the BIND Bridge Leadership Circle for donors of $500 or more. Just as BIND's work creates a bridge for members to reach their own new normal after brain injury, the Bridge Leadership Circle donors will allow BIND to cross into a future that the pandemic currently threatens. We need you now more than ever. Please make your best gift to BIND today and join the BIND Bridge Leadership Circle with a gift of $500 or more. For additional information on ways you can support BIND including sponsorship, auction support, matching gifts, monthly giving, and more please connect with our Development Director, Tara Judd Longley at [email protected]. Dear BIND Friends,

BIND fills a crucial gap in the rehabilitative process by helping adult brain injury survivors of stroke, traumatic brain injury, or brain cancer transition from medical patient to productive community member.
