Compound Statement

Compound Statement: a statement formed by __________________ two or more statements

Conjunction: a compound statement formed by connecting two or more statements with the word ____________. It is true only when both s and j are true. It is false when at least one of its parts is false.

Truth Table A truth table shows all the possible truth values for a

conditional statement and its related statements.

Example

p: Ohio is a stateq: There are 50

states

p: Georgia is a stateq: Miami is a state

p: q:

p: q: Dolphins are big

fish
