ESTABLISHED 2K11 Big Booties Streetball was born from a group of ballers who met each other playing on various playground of the Milan area. In 2011 we de- cided to put on our own streetball tournament, and we agreed that it needed to be something different from usual ones, in terms of the style of the game and of the overall look. Something that could possibly be quality all around entertainment, other than striving to be the best set for playground players to display their game. THE TOURNAMENT 2K11 - 2K17, seven editions of “The Finest” and counting, like they say. We witnes- sed the tournament grow year by year, while keeping the winning nighttime 3vs3 format, we have seen it evolving from the 2 groups/10 teams first edition back in 2011, to the 4 groups/20 teams form of the last 3 editions. And numbers are not the only thing that is growing. The level of the game keeps raising with every edition, as now the tournament hosts even professional players. These makes us even more enthusiastic: one of the aims of Big Booties Streetball is to keep getting better and offer to ballers, either professionals or amateurs, the most competitive set to display their game. SKY IS THE LIMIT. ENTERTAINMENT When you come at the Tournament you instantly notice it’s more than just streetball… Different djs warm up the night with a mix of bass music, hip hop and urban sounds on every round; every night you can be featured on a highlight video or on a street snap. Every night our guys comment the game hyping up either the crowd and the players… “The atmosphere at the Booties it’s pretty unique… there’s nothing like that in our area, and it gets better every year” - the typical feedback of the homies who come to represent on any given night. This kind of situation has been made possible thanks to the different experiences all of us are part of, or have been part of in the past: from photography to djing, from design to video making, from street art to digital graphics. Nothing is left to chance. THE COURT When we first decided to put on the Tournament, we immediately liked the idea of playing after sunset. But after witnessing some changes at the venue where we used to play at, we were left with no illuminated outdoor courts. So we built it overselves: a dismantled courtyard of a youth recreation center, simply a basketball goal and a couple of lights. We drew the court lines and we started, back in 2011. During these years, recording a growing success of the nighttime formula, we started to collaborate with local administration in order to customize the court and make it what now attendance ad players define “the best playground in the Milan area”. In 2017 we officially opened it to the public, and it’s the only illuminated outdoor court in our neighborhood where kids can play pick-up basketball after sunset. STREETWEAR By taking advantage of our passion for street culture and oversea sports, we try and create quality merchandise, at first only during the tournament, then with the goal of becoming a legit streetwear brand and, within this vision, to create items during all the year. We use merchandise as a way to express the history and the values of the game. In the past three years, we have produced a nice variety of items such as t-shirts, mesh jerseys, mesh shorts, embroidered snapbacks, or even winter clothes such as college jackets, bomber jackets and windbreakers. We are able to do this thanks to the collaboration with designers from our area who support our project. PARTNERS Despite our natural inclination for the Do It Yourself philosophy, during these years we stumbled into people who believed in us, and decided to contribute to the project in different ways. All of them so far run their activities in some environments that are very coherent with the spirit of the Big Booties Streetball project, and this is another aspect that makes us very recognizable. As for 2017, decided to work with us: Shape Store, streetwear chain based in our area; Sam Dunk, basketball specialised shop; Bitter Ink Studio, a tattoo studio based in our hometown; and Verse One Federation, independent 1on1 basketball league based in Au- stin, Texas. ENTERTAINMENTWhen you come at the Tournament you instantly notice it’s more than just streetball…

Different djs warm up the night with a mix of bass music, hip hop and urban sounds on every round; every night you can be featured on a highlight video or on a street snap.

Every night our guys comment the game hyping up either the crowd and the players… “The atmosphere at the Booties it’s pretty unique… there’s nothing like that in our area,

and it gets better every year” - the typical feedback of the homies who come to represent on any given night. This kind of situation has been made possible thanks to the different

experiences all of us are part of, or have been part of in the past: from photography to djing, from design to video making, from street art to digital graphics. Nothing is left to chance.
