BigBiteThe Heil Farid BigBite is considered by most to be thebenchmark for all rear end loaders. Produced since theearly 70’s and with the benefit of continuous developmentover the years, this vehicle has an enviable reputation forstrength, reliability and the ability to cope with whateveroperators require of it, in the most demanding ofenvironments.

The Swinglink design ensures maximum compactionefficiency and improved all round performance. With a wide2.32m hopper this vehicle easily handles large refuse itemsand again, maintenance is kept to a minimum where thetailgate is concerned. The BigBite is fast too, with a cycletime of only 27-32 seconds and a five tonne rated hoist forskips up to 16m³, the BigBite works hard and keeps costslow.

The BigBite can be specified with Heil Farid’s marketleading Comb lift (BBC), which allows the vehicle to lift bothREL and Eurobins on the same round rather than sendingtwo vehicles.

The Swinglink design ensures maximum compactionefficiency and improved all round performance. This helpskeep operational and maintenance costs to a minimum.

Waste UnloadingUnloading of waste is achieved by conventional ejection platerunning on high tensile steel rollers, ensuring completedischarge of waste materials.

OPTIONAL COMBLIFT

The BigBiteComb Lift™(BBCL) is aheavy-duty combhoist withinterlockedcontrols,designed for usewith the Heil Farid BigBite® rear-endloader (REL). When fitted, the comb liftbecomes an integral part of theBigBite® tailgate and utilises the oilsupply and filtration system from thehost vehicle, thus simplifying themaintenance requirements of the unit.

The hoist is designed to acceptstandard containers, ranging from 120litre to 1100 litre with or without roll toplids. Retractable air cushioned lidopeners serve a dual purpose; theyopen roll top container lids and alsoprevent flat top containers going overcentre when in the full tip position.

When the hoist is operational, thepacking cycle is “hold-to-run” andalways under the direct control of theoperator ensuring the safety of theoperator and equipment at all times.

The comb lift is stowed below thehopper rave to avoid obstruction whenusing the BigBite® skip hoistequipment.
