88thth Grade United States History Grade United States HistoryMr. D’Lugo & Mr. Noos• Students will learn about the history of the United States from

the Mid 18th Century to the end of the 19th Century.

• We will start with the founding of the United States. This will include the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary War and the first efforts to create an American government.

• Next we will discuss the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Here students will learn how the American government works. They will also learn the rights the Bill of Rights gives to all Americans.

• The class continues with the origins of American political parties and the presidency of Andrew Jackson.

• We will also look at how the United States expanded during the first half of the 19th Century, including how the Texas and California were stolen from Mexico.

• I will be having after school tutoring every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30. All students are welcome to come by and get help with their history work.
