Entering the Room
1. Enter class quietly and go to assigned seat.
2. Begin working on the “ENFOCAMOS” bellwork. There is no talking during the bellwork.
* Students should come prepared to class with the following materials: binder, paper, sharpened pencils, class notes, bottled water, and
homework assignments. They may not return to their locker after the bell has rung. They should not bring cards, make-up, food, beverages, magazines, photos, electronic devices or other materials not related to the course.
When You are Tardy
Enter quietly without speaking to anyone.
If the door is shut, wait quietly in the window where I can see you. – Do not knock on the door or try to open it, it is locked. I will
let you in as soon as possible. – “As soon as possible” usually means within 30 seconds.
Go directly to your assigned seat.
Get to work.
When You are Tardy
Several times a week there will be a 4-5 question review quiz instead of bellwork.
If you are tardy and have an authentic pass, you will be exempted from the quiz.
It is your responsibility to bring a pass, do not say that you were called to the office, etc.
If you do not have a pass, your unexcused absence will result in a 0 on the quiz.
Class Dismissal
Pick up any trash and make sure your desk is lined up with the floor marker.
Make sure you understand your homework assignments before you leave.
Push your chair in.
¡SILENCIO, POR FAVOR!
I will say “¡Silencio, por favor!”. You are to immediately stop talking, face me,
and repeat “¡Silencio, por favor!” one time. Remain quiet and wait for further
instructions.
Instructional Activities
Students are to remain quiet during PA announcements, video clippings, classroom lectures and other appropriate circumstances.
Students are to remain seated with their group members during group work and are not to distract others if they finish early.
During whole-group activities students must raise their hand and wait to be called upon before speaking.
Most classroom activities involve verbal communication amongst the students. It is important that students use quiet voices during
class time.
Students are expected to ask for help if they need assistance.
After an Excused Absence
Check my website and pick up any materials you missed from your hour’s absent folder.
Turn in your make up work in the “la tarea” work box
on the table by the door.
You have 2 days to turn in your work once you return to school. – Please talk with me personally if you have an extended
illness or unusual circumstance.
