- Data Sharing (DS)– Read/Write property, COV- Alarms and Event

- Scheduling (SCHED)– internal/external- Trending (T)–
viewing/modifying trends, retrieval- Device and Network Management
(DM, NM) – router
confguration, device object binding, time Synchronisation,
backup/restore, object creation/deletion
- Virtual Terminal Management (VT)- BACnet International Product

•Data sharing makes it possible for BACnet devices to exchange
information. Interoperability allows data collection of reports,
values between devices, change of set points etc. In Data sharing a
client device initiates a request for data from a server device and
the server executes the request.

•Alarms and Event Management are pre-defined conditions that
meet specific criteria that could result in an alarm such asChange

• Scheduling allows adding and editing ofschedules so that
control can be coordinated based
on dates and times.

•Trending enables trend collection and request trend data
between devices.
• Device and Network Management allows BACnet devices to
discover other BACnet devices, discover objects within devices,

re-initialize a devices program.
