Dear Danny,

Thank you for the birthday card you sent me. I am fine. I hope you are well too.

How was your holiday in Thailand? I had a very interesting holiday. I went to Taman Negara and Endau-

Rompin National Park in Pahang a week ago.

Let me tell you what I found about these two places. Taman Negara is an area of rainforest. It is very

large and cool even in the daytime. You can see trees for miles and miles. Some of the trees and plants are very

unusual. I brought my camera along and took many photographs in Taman Negara.

The Endau-Rompin National Park is much smaller than Taman Negara. Nature-lovers will enjoy going

there too. I saw fan palm and other strange plants like the climbing bamboo and the walking-stick palm.

I learned from our Orang Asliguide that the rainforest gives us timber, rattan, fruit, medicine and

spices. I guess that is why it is so important to save the rainforests.

I've asked my dad whether he could take us to Kota Kinabalu National Park in Sabah and the Gunung

Mulu National Park in Sarawak during the long holidays. He agreed. Wow! I can't wait.
