  • GRAND TALL CEDAR'S MESSAGE

Well, the Installation was delayed, but we finally had it. I hope all that attended enjoyed themselves.

I will be having a fun year if all goes well, and we are starting off with a Great Magician for March Meeting, which will be Master Mason Night.

    Q Bring your kids/grand kids

International Night is the theme for our April, meeting, so look for something International to wear to the meeting.

I hope some of the members that have not been able to come in the past will try and make some meetings this year.

Hint: Old berry picking baskets, what to do with them? Put a clean basket on your kitchen sink to hold sponges.

    Cedarly, Marshall Gevinson, GTC

BE NOT SLOW TO VISIT THE SICK, FOR THAT SHALL MAKE THEE BELOVED

  • The following members have been elected and installed as Officers for 2010: GTC: Marshal Gevinson, SDGTC Robert Johnson, and JDGTC: Sol Zeidman, SCRIBE: Norm Clark, and TREASURER: John Huff: TRUSTEES for 2010 remain the same: Marshall Gevinson, Charles Ware, and G. Lee Ferguson.

Brothers we really need your support to keep this Forest going. Brother Gevinson has a great schedule for 2010 which includes a trip to the Zoo at Thurmont, Md with our MD Ambassador, Clair Menke; Shrimp feast in September, and a trip to the Dinner Theater in October. Also, as indicated in his article, we are having a Magician for Master Mason night. Please bring a Mason with you and invite him and his significant other to a free dinner prior to our OPEN meeting on March 20th.

Montgomery Forest, will once again, received the TCF Poster Child award, which is the highest award for 2009. The amount that the Cedars and Cedarettes gave is $14,125.00 which is great. Our members gave $592.00 to the Tai Cedar Foundation appeal letter with several brothers giving over one hundred dollars. The Forest gave $3200.00 to send four young people to camp and the Cedarettes gave 1,148.00 to ALS which is a subsidiary to MDA. Also several members gave large donations to MDA which is appreciated.

I am also proud to announce that my family, with the help of our friends, gave $1,200.00 to MDA through Montgomery Forest honoring Janet and my 60th Anniversary.

Also, thanks to all of the members and Cedarettes who have contributed money using the Montgomery's TCF club and memorium fund and the Tall Cedar Foundations annual appeal letter.

GTC Gevinson is continuing having dinners prior to all meeting which will start this year at 6:30

The Memorium listing was originally started to allow members/Cedarettes to donate $3.00 to MD to honor those friends/relatives who are no longer with us. However I, kept adding those who passed away hoping that someone would send a donation. Since the list has grown so large, the Executive Committee decided to list only those friends/relatives that a donation has been made on their behalf.

The Booster, TCF Club and Memorium Listings will be changed in the March/ April Echo.

    Cedarly, Norm
