As a member of the Facility Engineering and Operations Organization on the JRDC Program at Schriever AFB, Performed Electrical Engineering duties with a focus on the medium and low voltage industrial systems (12,470 volts to 120 volt circuits). Developed detailed electrical design drawings for MDIOC facility modification projects using Bentley Microstation V8. Developed detailed electrical installation for first floor quadrant including under floor receptacles, redundant power installations, and cubicle furniture whip design. Analyzed customer requirements and Network hardware equipment specifications to create multiple level cable tray, conduit, and zone box drawings for installation. Updated and managed multiple power panel schedules. Redesigned and expanded existing power panel schema to accommodate growth in quadrant.

Briefed designs weekly at Engineering Review Boards (FERBs). Coordinate designs with customers and installers, often with the goal of communicating complex ideas to a diverse group of people. Experience and comfort with presenting designs to Senior Management.

Computer Science Corporation (CSC) Colorado Springs, CO 2003 - 2010Hardware Systems Engineer

As a member of the ITT SENSOR engineering team, performed hardware installation, testing, and documentation for the AN/FPQ-16 Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) phased-array radar system. Wrote Configuration Item Development Specifications (CIDS), System/Subsystem Specifications (SSS), and Technical Orders (TOs) to reflect system upgrades and/or replacements. Redlined, updated, and edited MIL-STD documents on a regular basis as part of equipment upgrade projects.

Performed as the Lead Engineer on a project to replace a Voltage Regulator Assembly (VRA) at PARCS. Designed and tested FPGAs, PCBs for the units. Evaluated, ordered, and tracked components used in VRAs. Personally created all cable drawings and assembled all cables for the VRAs. Following the system engineering process, my team assembled, tested, and delivered four VRA’s at PARCS, resulting in a successful deployment and acceptance of the new design.

Managed, updated, and administered the Requirements Traceability Management (RTM) tool for multiple SENSOR projects. Upgraded obsolete power supplies and memory units in the Maintenance and Diagnostic Sub-system (M&DSS) at PARCS. Working on an accelerated schedule, directed the efforts of a team of engineers, drafters, and technical writers to produce a Maintenance and Operations Technical Order for the PARCS Display Upgrade (PDU) project.
