Students of Final year B.pharmacy under the guidance of Dr. Vijay Jagtap participated & presented poster on the topic in-vitro methods available for evaluation of Anthelmintic activity by using Housefly worms and Earthworms at one day symposium on Symphoria: National symposium on "Advance in hyphenated analytical techniques" on Saturday, 5th Jan, 2019, St. John institute of pharmacy and research, Palghar.

All institutes of Bhonsale Knowledge City celebrated International women’s day on 8th March 2019. For the event Mrs.Asmita Sawantbhonsale ,President BKC, Mr. Achyut Sawantbhonsale, Executive chairman BKC,Mr.Sanjeev Desai Secretary BKC, Mrs.Sunetra Phatak Administrative Coordinator BKC, Mrs.

Sanika Desai Member BKC, Mrs.Archana Joshi Patil Principal Yaswantrao Bhonsale International School , Dr.Uma Prabhudesai a visiting Physician of BKC campus were present as dignitaries on the dias. The assay competition rankers and the best hostelite girl was felicitated during this ceremony.

AICTE has developed Internship portal for Technical Institutions, Industries and students. In this regards competent Authority had organized one day workshop as "Industries Meet" on 18th

February, 2019 in collaboration with BOAT/BOPT at College of Engineering, Pune to introduce the internship portal developed by AICTE.TPO, Mr. Sanket Gandhi attended this one day workshop.

Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy Sawantwadi has decided to become part of DLLE of University of Mumbai. Under this heading 50 students of Final Year B Pharmacy got enrolled. As a beginner Extension teacher Ms. Rashmi H. Mahabal and Kavita S. Chavan along with student manager Mr.Akshay Dalvi and Ms.Siddhi Natekar attended second term training programme

held at Kankavali College Kankavali, on 25th December 2018 at departmental level. Mr.Vinaykumar Awate, A member of Ayush mantralay was invited as a chief guest for the programme. Training was carried out under the valuable guidance of Hon. Dr. Dilip Patil Director of DLLE. All field coordinator and district coordinator were present for the programme.

UDAAN festival was organized by DLLE in which different activities were conducted. In poster presentation competition Ms. Namrata Saraf, Final Year B. Pharmacy awarded with the ‘Best Poster’ Award on 06th February, 2019 by the hands of Dr. Dilip Patil.

It is very proud moment that three students from yashwantrao Bhonsale College of pharmacy were selected in TCS, Thane as Team member of Pharmacovigilance Department namely Ms. Shruti Dhavale, Ms. Ankita Dhavale & Ms. MamtaBagve.

GPAT/GMAT/GRE SCORERS FELICITATION

Yashwantrao Bhonsale college of Pharmacy, Sawantwadi had organized campus drive for position of Hospital Pharmacist conducted by HR personnel from Victor Hospital, Goa on 18th April, 2019. A large number of Final year B.pharm & D.pharm students attended this campus drive. Victor Hospital, a 150 - bed tertiary care, multi-specialty, super-specialty hospital has strengthened the healthcare infrastructure in the state of Goa.Heartiest Congratulations on shortlisting as Hospital Pharmacist a Victor Hospital, Goa in Campus Drive held on 12th Apr. 2019.1. YBCPian Mr. Durgesh P. Bidye for securing All India 1st Position in Manthan 2019 . “5th All India Online Essay Contest” organ-ized by School of Pharmaceutical Management, The IIHMR University, Jaipur.

The result for GPAT & CMAT examination was declared on 06th February, 2019 by National Testing Agency (NTA). In GPAT Examination following students are qualified in the examination with marks out of 500. 1. Mr. Jivesh Jagdish Dambe (134) 2. Mr. Durgesh Paresh Bidye (122) 3. Committee for purpose of control & supervision of experiments on the animals, the first meeting of Institutional Animal Ethical Committee (IAEC) was conducted on 19th January, 2019 under CPCSEA nominee Dr. John D’Souza, Scientist form outside institute Dr. S. S. Patil. Dr. Vijay Jagtap, Dr. V. F. Desai. Mr. Vinod Mule, Mr. Durgesh Gautam & Mr. Tanmay Patwardhan were present.

CPCSEA MEETING

As per MoU between Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy and Bhaisaheb Sawant Ayurved College, Sawantwadi 38 students of S. Y. B. A. M. S. visited YBCP Institute.

Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy organised hospital visit especially for F. Y. B. Pharm students at Cottage Hospital, Sawantwadi on 8th & 9th February, 2019. Students visited various departments in the hospitals. The hospital visit was made successful by Assistant Professors Ms. Kavita S. Chavan (Pharmaceutics Department), Ms. Prajakta S. Mhaskar

(Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department) and Ms. Namita G. Narvekar (Quality Assurance Department). Training and Placement Cell of YBCOP, Sawantwadi had arranged Industrial study visit at Unichem Laboratories Ltd., Pilerne Bardez, Goa on 23rd February, 2019.Students were given an account of Pharma manufacturing and warehouse.

“Pathological lab of Cottage hospital” was visited by YBCP students at Sawantwadi on 20th March 2019.Total 52 students from S.Y. B.Pharmacy (Div A) had visited under the guidance of Ms. Shweta Shirodkar Assistant Prof. Dept. of Pharmaceutics. Different basic branches of Pathology were explored to students. Students of S.Y.B.Pharmacy (Div B) visited Arya Pathological Lab in Banda on Tuesday 19 March 2019. Students were given account of Pathology Lab by Mrs Santoshi D.Kolambkar owner

Later in the afternoon session poster presentation competition was arranged in the BKC auditorium hall. After evaluation of the poster presentation competition in evening at 04:15 pm valedictory function was conducted. The symposium was made successful under the esteem support of BKC’s Management.

Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, Sawantwadi in collaboration with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Maharashtra State Branch (IPA-MSB) organized one day National symposium on “Novel Trends in Drug Design & Natural Product Chemistry” on 02nd February, 2019.Dr. Vijay Jagtap, Principal in his welcome speech highlighted the purpose behind organization of this national level symposium on the topic “Novel Trends in Drug Design &Natural Product Chemistry”. Key note address was given by guest of honour Mr. Vinay kumar Awate & invited speakers Dr. Kishorkumar Burade.

First technical session was started after the inaugural & welcome function, in this session first invited speaker Dr. Kishorkumar Burade, Principal and Head, Department of Pharmacognosy, Government College of Pharmacy, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India given the presentation on the topic ‘Novel Trends in Herbal Medicine’. In second technical session invited speaker Dr. Raghuveer Pissurlenkar, Associate Professor, Department of

Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Goa College of Pharmacy, Goa, India given the A Report: NOVEL TRENDS IN DRUG DESIGN AND NATURAL PRODUCT CHEMISTRY Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, Sawantwadi , Maharashtra State presentation on the topic ‘Exploring atlas activity cliffs in SAR’. In third technical session Mr. Vinaykumar Awate explained about the research in India & Japan.

•National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28th February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman on 28th February 1928. So as a part of the program, Yashwantrao Bhonsale International School invited NSS cell of Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy to give a lecture on the “Basics of Pharmacy field and role of pharmacist towards society.”

• NSS cell of Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, had arranged one such disaster management training program for first year B. Pharmacy and first year integrated D. Pharmacy students on Fire safety and use of Fire extinguisher.

• The consumer movement marks 15th March with World Consumer Rights Day every year, as a means of raising global awareness about consumer rights and needs.Glimpses of Street play performed by students of First year B.Pharm on occasion of "World Consumer Day" at Sawantwadi ST bus depot.Students explained rights of consumers through various scenarios.
