Teacher Appreciation Week May 7 through May 11, 2012

Monday- Thank you notes and snacks. Each student will write one thank you note to their home room teacher and 2-3 assigned specialists and bring in a healthy snack (apple, granola bar) for each staff member. This will be coordinated by the room parents so look for that information soon.

***Please note the change in days due to MCAS testing***

***Tuesday- Lunch in the Library. Heidi Winiker and Beth Kaplan will coordinate lunch for the teachers and staff. We will need soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts and paper products to make this a wonderful luncheon for our staff. We will also need volunteers to help serve lunch and supervise recess and lunch so our staff can enjoy themselves. Please contact Heidi at [email protected] or Beth at [email protected] if you would like to help.

***Wednesday- Breakfast in the Teachers Lounge. Marisol Nicholson will be coordinating this event. We are looking for donations of breakfast goodies (coffee, bagels, fruit, quiche, etc) or monetary donations to make this a special morning. Please contact Marisol at [email protected] if you would like to help with breakfast.

Thursday- Teacher’s Lounge. Vandana Kamath and Kerin Deely have once again offered to coordinate this project. This year the teacher’s are asking for a new pod-type coffee maker and a bookcase for the lounge. We will also collect paper products, shelf-stable goodies, coffee pods, etc. to make the lounge a place for the teachers to catch their breath between classes. Please contact either Vandana at [email protected] or Kerin at [email protected].

Friday- Goody Bags and a Light Breakfast. Rebecca Hagerty will be collecting items again this year to fill up goody bags to pass out to the teachers and staff. In the past we have collected pens, notepads, gum, mints, nail files, granola bars, etc. to put into these bags. Please contact Rebecca if you are interested in donating goodies at [email protected]. Megan Moussa will coordinate the breakfast (coffee, muffins, etc) and if you would like to help, Megan’s email is [email protected].
