Beyond the Dura '19 Soars Beyond Expectations!
It's unanimous! Beyond the Dura 2019 was one of the most enlightening, inspiring, and collaborative conferences ever. As always, the emphasis was on experiences regarding new applications and treatment techniques with CranioSacral Therapy (CST), and other related manual therapies.
Our 16 excellent presenters shared leading and current research, new integrations, clinical observations, and new books.

Caucus Briefing and Hands-On Therapies Leave a Lasting Impression on Capitol Hill
As a partner with the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC), we are helping to elevate awareness and legislative policies for integrative health. Recently, Jackie Halderman, Director of Marketing, attended the IHPC Caucus where legislators and their staffs experienced the benefits of integrative medicine.
From the powerful testimonials of veterans and practitioners of all modalities to the interdisciplinary therapy room, even the most skeptical witnessed how integrative medicine is the future of not only pain management, but health and wellness overall.
"The Congressional Briefing and interdisciplinary therapy demonstration was extremely successful with representation from 58 legislative offices from both sides of the aisle. The briefing provided important information regarding effective, non-opioid, integrative approaches to the treatment of pain which will hopefully impact future policy," said Len Wisneski, IHPC's Board of Director's Chair.

Dog Owner Praises Ecosomatics: Small Animals
"I volunteered my dog, Ajax as a patient for the EcoSomatics Small Animals (ESSA) Class. He was recently diagnosed with left knee arthritis along with severe back and rear end muscle tension. His gait was compromised, and he was in pain and showing little range of motion in his movement.
I was very impressed with Ajax's response to his first CST treatment which involved technique and concentration at the tail. When we returned home after this session, I unclipped his leash and he started to run like he was free. At the end of his second treatment which was "skull day" I was so excited to discover how Ajax would let me brush down his back without resistance. A few days later, he was a different dog.
I am so grateful to have these sessions bring positive results for my dog. I plan to continue CST for my dog as well as myself."
Libby, Ajax's owner

What's the Difference?
Between a Study Group and a Practice Group?
A Practice Group is led by someone who has taken courses and helps the community of therapists come together to practice on one another. They will organize the dates, times, meeting locations. They may have resources available like websites and Facebook pages, and contact information for local assistance.
A Study Group is led by someone qualified by the Institute and recommended by at least one instructor. The group leader will usually select a topic to review and practice, and will answer questions and correct hand positions, if needed.
